The Office: 3/26/09

  • Wow, can’t believe Michael actually quit Dunder Mifflin.  Thought when he quit at the end of last week’s episode that this week he would just come back or make like it was joke or something…Guess not.

  • Do we like the new boss Charles?  I know he was brought in to cause tension and to “show up” Michael.  I do think he’s kind of good looking tho.  Is he going to be working out of the conference room every week now?
  • When Michael was crawling on the floor trying to sneak back into the Office…That was pretty classic.
  • For Pam to just walk out with Michael…Wow.  Are they really going to start up their own paper company?  Seriously?  How is that going to work as far as the show goes?

In The Motherhood: 3/25/09

This was the season premiere of In The Motherhood, and I gotta say…I liked it!

  • I’ve loved Megan Mullally ever since her Will & Grace days.  She was so awesome as Karen on that show.  Her character, Rosemary, isn’t really like Karen at all, but I still hear some “Karenisms” coming out of Rosemary ever so often.  Great to see her back on TV!  Gotta love that stuffed beg bug to help her get free stuff! :-p

  • Cheryl Hines…Never really seen her in anything (I know she’s known from Curb Your Enthusiasm, but I don’t get those “fancy” cable channels!), but she’s pretty funny too.  Trying to get back into the dating scene after a divorce…I’m sure a lot of people can relate to her character, Jane.

  • Last but not least…Emily.  Jessica St. Clair…Don’t think I’ve seen her in anything either.  Just read in her bio that she’s a regular on VH1′s Best Week Ever.  No wonder she kinda looked familiar!  Right now Emily’s my favorite character…She has some pretty funny scenes.  Love that they made her husband african-american, so her kids are biracial.  Nice little “twist” so it’s not so “ordinary.”  BTW, Don’t ever tell your kids the truth about Santa Claus when they’re too young…You don’t know what could happen:

  • Oh, and Horatio Sanz…Almost didn’t recognize him ’cause he looks SO different from his Saturday Night Live days (he lost A LOT of weight!).  Interesting role he took to be part of this show…A male nanny?!  At any rate, it’s cool to see him back on TV too:

I would really recommend this show if you want something light and funny.  The fact that I enjoyed the first episode hopefully is a good sign.  Other shows take a few to get me into it, but this one kinda grabbed me from the get go.  Nice to have another sitcom/half hour show to break up all the drama shows I watch.  I think a lot of people can relate to these characters, and the fact that the stories come from actual real mothers & their situations makes it a pretty cool show.  Give it a try if you have time!

Chuck: 3/23/09

  • Wow, so Chuck finally has the info to try to get the intersect out of his brain!  Wonder if he’ll actually be able to get it out?  I doubt it.  They would need to end the show otherwise…
  • They’re replacing Sarah next week?!  What’s up with that?  I’m sure that won’t last long…I wasn’t the biggest Sarah fan when the show first started, but she has definitely grown on me.  I really like her and Chuck together…She’s gotten much more likable, sweet and cuter now.
