GOLDEN GLOBES 2010: YAY GLEE!

YAY GLEE!  GLEE KIDS HOORAY!

The cast of Glee beat out Modern Family (who totally should’ve won as well!), 30 Rock, Entourage and The Office to win the Golden Globe for Best TV Show – Comedy orMusical!  When you think about it, Glee is the perfect winner of a GG…the show is a COMEDY AND MUSICAL all-in-one!  AWESOME!  Totally deserving!

It’s still so awesome that Glee is winning when they haven’t even finished their entire first season yet!  Unfortunately, none of the actors nominated (Lea Michele, Jane Lynch, Matthew Morrison) didn’t win, but…WHO CARES?!  Winning the best comedy is great because it recognizes the entire show!

Even tho they’re all celebrating now…poor kids have to get up at 6 am tomorrow morning to get back to work!  They’re filming their Madonna-themed episode tomorrow!  Guess work doesn’t stop for a GG win!

GOLDEN GLOBES Red Carpet: Fashion Galore! *UPDATED

Just thought I’d post some other notable and outstanding (in both the good and bad) fashion statements on the red carpet:

Mariah Carey

• Mariah’s dress:  Umm, can you say SUBTLE?!

Jennifer Garner

• LOVED Jennifer’s dress!  Considering she has TWO kids…her body looks amazing!  That dress DOES look a bit HEAVY tho…

Sandra Bullock

• Purple seemed to be a hot color this year…there were a number of ladies wearing some shade of purple.  I really liked Sandra’s dress!  Very vibrant!
• I did think it was unique how the skirt was sorta sheer…like you can totally see thru to her legs!  Interesting…

Fergie

• Staying with the whole purple theme…I really liked Fergie’s dress!  Altho I’m still not a big fan of Fergie…I really don’t think she’s attractive at all…her body looks SO GOOD in it!  I liked the lavender color!

Emily Blunt ("The Devil Wears Prada") & John Krasinski ("The Office", "It's Complicated")

• I liked the color of Emily’s dress!  Very cute and sweet!  Oh, and John looks nice & dapper too!  They make a cute couple!

Julie Bown ("Modern Family")

• Can’t go wrong with black!  Even tho she only recently had twin boys, Julie Bowen is so pretty that you wouldn’t even notice!

Sofia Vergara ("Modern Family")

• Sofia’s dress was a very unique color!  She’s another one that’s so pretty that she can pretty much pull off anything!  I like that little splash of magenta!

Anna Kendrick ("Twilight", "Up In The Air")

• Even tho it’s a bit frilly at the top, I really liked Anna’s dress!  It fits her body so well, and I like the pattern on the dress…and the train!  Very elegant actually.  Only at an awards show can you wear a dress like this…it’s so sparkly!

*I like HAD to update with more dresses…they were too nice to pass-up!  These next few I didn’t put in earlier because they weren’t featured on the red carpet, so I only saw them on the actual show!  They’re worth adding tho…

Halle Berry

• Halle Berry…HELLO!  Man, she’s just gorgeous!  Even after having a baby!  And no one else can pull of that short ‘do like Halle!  Awesome!

Jennifer Aniston

• Wow, look at that slit!  Talk about HIGH!  But Jennifer can totally pull it off!  I like her hair (when it’s not in her face) and makeup a lot too!  Very natural!

Kate Winslet

• Kate Winslet…I just love her style!  She really knows how to pick dresses for her body!  So elegant and regal!  Like the one-shoulder look too!  SO PRETTY!

The other one I really WANTED to add because she looked so cute was Reese Witherspoon…but I can’t seem to find pictures of her from the show online!  So weird!  If you watched the show tho…she looked great!

It’s funny when Giuliana asks whether or not she’s dating anyone…she’s so coy about it!  “I’m very happy…”  Like Giuliana says…”WTH does THAT mean?!”  At least she dispelled the rumors that she’s datiing one of the Glee guys…

Unfortunately, they ended up cutting off her interview so they could jump to an interview with Sandra Bullock!  Geez!

BUT, I guess that just goes to show the HIERARCHY of Hollywood…   After all…Sandra Bullock IS a BIT of a bigger star…   Still a bit rude tho!

• I like the yellow color on Jenna!  Very happy and “sunny”!  Kind of ironic since it was pouring rain on the red carpet!

Amber Riley

• Nice color on Amber!  I like the one-shoulder look!

Dianna Agron

• Dianna’s dress…so elegant!  Love the color!  The way it falls…so flattering!  Love it!

Jayma Mays

• Interesting pattern on Jayma’s dress.  I do like the white/black theme.  Her hair looks cute too!

Jane Lynch

• Sue Sylvester in a dress!  Nice to see Jane in something other than a tracksuit!  Not sure if I love the criss cross halter part, but the color matches her well!

Jessalyn Gilsig

• I like the white color and the pattern!  It’s flattering on her body.  A BIT low in the cleavage area, but…I do like how the pattern changes as you work your way down the dress…

Lea Michele

• Talk about the “belle of the ball”!  Even tho she’s wearing black, Lea sure knows how to make a splash!  Now THIS is a GOWN…

• I do have to say she looks very classy and elegant…the hair up adds to that look.  Nice jewelry…the green adds that splash of color!  Too bad can’t see her shoes!
• Oh, and her makeup is QUITE flawless!  Really simple but so pretty!

Only one word to describe the Golden Globe red carpet…WET!  It was pouring rain the entire time the stars were walking the carpet!  That must’ve been so messy!

• Matthew looks good!  He cleans up so nicely!  Very dashing…

Kevin McHale

• Kevin’s hair!  New look for him!  He actually looks much more mature like this…I like it!  The polka dot bowtie is a cute touch!

Cory Monteith

• Just like for the People’s Choice Awards, Cory looks much more mature when he gets all dressed up!  Plus he’s so tall…tall guys look nice in suits!  I like the silver tie!

Mark Salling

• Yay Mark!  Wearing a suit!  See…I knew he would clean up nice!  Guys always look good when they dress up!  He should do it more often!
