VIDEO: Carrie Answers Fan Questions

Here’s a video (taken from the same time as the “Day with Carrie” video) of Carrie answering some fans’ questions:

• She talks about her new upcoming tour and her role in “Soul Surfer” and why she chose that role.
• She still talks SO HIGHLY of American Idol, which is so nice.  She’s still so grateful to it for being the basis for where she is in her career today.
• It’s sweet how she always acknowledges the person whose question it is…she makes sure to say the person’s name in her answer.  Very cute!

LOST 2/9/10: 6.03 “What Kate Does”

• So Sayid is “infected.”  Are we talking infected by the Smoke Monster?  Or Jacob?  I could understand why Dogen needed to “test” Sayid…a bit extreme, especially since they didn’t even explain to him what/why they were doing it.
• I didn’t understand the whole ash part of the test at first, but now I do (thanks RT!)…
• Jack still annoys me how he takes on the “leader” role and tries to push Dogen around about the “antidote.”  I mean, with everything that’s been going on…you shouldn’t be questioning anything anymore.  I mean, if they wanted to kill you, they would have already!  Altho in Sayid’s case, they needed to try to kill him to protect everyone else.

• I like watching Hiroyuki Sanada!  He’s really good in this role!  And low and behold…he speaks ENGLISH!  And quite well, I might add!  I don’t think he spoke a word of English when he was in The Last Samurai…

• Kate & Claire…interesting “bond” they created in this “universe.”  I guess just like on the island, they did have a friendship that was pretty solid…I mean, Kate ends up taking care of/being a mother to Aaron.
• I’m a bit confused about the whole timing of these 2 universes…are they supposed to be happening simultaneously?!  ‘Cause it sure seemed like Claire went into labor a lot faster than when she went into labor on the island…
• Oh, and Claire at the end of the episode with Jin…?!  So SHE was possessed by the black monster too?!  According to Dogen and his translator she was…at least that’s what they told Jack.  Is THAT where she disappeared to?  She looked kinda messed up and creepy there with that gun at the end…

• OMG!  Ethan!  Wait a minute…how is he there when he was on the island?!  Obviously in this universe, a LOT of things have changed…
• And Ethan is a DOCTOR?!  Was he a doctor on the island?!  He’s SO CREEPY…and is STILL SO CREEPY…I would NOT and DON’T trust him still…Eww!

• I like seeing this sensitive and vulnerable Sawyer…he was never really very attractive to me (mostly becuase he’s so grungy looking), but seeing just how much Juliet’s death has affected him has made him a LOT more appealing…
• Did he decide that he was going back to the temple?

Did you recognize any of the Hawaii locations in this week’s episode?

• Seemed like a lot of the Kate stuff (in the non-crash universe) was taken in the Nimitz/Mapunapuna area…at least when she was driving the taxi.  Altho some parts also reminded me of the Kalihi area.
• When she got to the hospital with Claire, wasn’t sure where that was…seemed almost like a country club or something because it had its own road leading up to the entrance.
• The house of Claire’s “adoption parents”…Kahala?
• The part with Sawyer & Kate sitting on that dock…Kaneohe/Kahekili area?  Could see Chinaman’s Hat in the background…

VIDEO: Kara DioGuardi & Jason Reeves – Terrified

Since Didi did such a great job on Kara’s song “Terrified” last night on AI, I found a video of Kara singing it with Jason Reeves (who actually sings it with Kat McPhee on her version).  Nice to be able to hear KARA sing one of her own songs she’s written.

I gotta say that Kara should really come out with an album.  She writes great songs, and her voice is quite awesome.  Such a waste that she writes all these songs and doesn’t get to showcase them herself!

THE BACHELOR: Deleted Hometown Scene

Found this short little snippet from Vienna’s hometown that they didn’t show on the actual episode…Jake talks to Vienna bout how different she is when she’s with him rather than around the other girls:

Jake actually seems really comfortable with Vienna here…and they seem very natural together.  Vienna also seems more “normal” here.  Not as irritating.  See, why don’t they show THESE moments to us?!  I’m sure it’s ’cause they want to create a certain image of Vienna.  Every girl has their “role” in this whole “cast.”

GLEE Casting News: Molly Shannon

To add yet ANOTHER celebrity on tap to guest star on Glee…Molly Shannon (of SNL fame)!

Molly will be on the one of the last episodes of this season, playing “Brenda Castle, the busty 45-year old new astronomy teacher and badminton coach at McKinley High School who is both an alcoholic and a pill-popper.” Word is, Molly’s character will exchange a few vocal jabs with Sue Sylvester. Right now, doesn’t look like Molly will be doing any singing (altho if you watched her on SNL, you know that she can), …but you never know…they may throw it in.

Boy, the list of guest stars just keeps growing…I’m loving it!

VIDEO: Carrie’s Performance From The Stands

Just thought I’d post how it was to hear part of Carrie’s Superbowl SSB from a fan’s perspective, who was actually at the game.  It’s only the last couple of lines of her performance, but the main reason I’m posting it…you can see how the crowd could have affected that last note.   The note actually sounded really good!   ‘Cause the crowd SCREAMED SO MUCH right when she hit the note…you heard like 2 SECONDS of it (and it was in tune for those 2 seconds)…then ridiculous SCREAAAMING…and you wonder why she could EASILY “lose the note” with all that noise in there!  Can’t even hear yourself think!

Kinda cool to see the field/stadium from a fan’s perspective.  It’s weird…the stadium doesn’t look that big…the field doesn’t look like it’s the SUPERBOWL field…looks almost like it could be just a high school game or something.  Funny.
