DIANNA AGRON: People’s Most Beautiful 2010

It really IS Dianna Day! :) Besides it being her birthday, Dianna Agron was picked as one of People magazine’s Most Beautiful!

Very well-deserved…not only is Dianna beautiful physically, but her personality (in real life she’s like the sweetest person…very different from Quinn) REALLY makes her even more beautiful…

Congrats!

GLEE Fan Video: How Far We’ve Come

Just thought I’d post this fan-made video I found online…it is QUITE well-made and kind of wraps up the 1st 13 episodes of the show…and “How Far We’ve Come”…

Enjoy!

SHIRT OF THE DAY

Trivia Quiz:

Do you remember which Glee episode the classic Brittany quote above was from? :)

MODERN FAMILY 4/28/10: 1.21 “Travels with Scout”

  • Fred Willard as Phil’s dad?  Talk about PERFECT casting!  Crazy how SIMILAR they are…like they were REALLY related!

  • So cute how Claire got attached to Scout…she even gave Scout her bra! :)

  • Thank GOD Cam was ACTUALLY GOOD at the drums!  When he first started playing…OMG.
  • “Dude, you really should label those sticks…” LOL!  My favorite line of this episode…
  • Poor guy…he did a great job performing, then gets shoved out when the original drummer comes back…
  • BTW, did you notice Cam’s shirt?  So cute…Rocker Lily! :)

  • Why in the world would Jay take Manny to a HORROR movie?!  Not only is Manny just a KID, but…it’s MANNY we’re talking about.  He’s like THE most EMOTIONAL little boy…of COURSE he’s gonna get spooked!

BILLBOARD NEWS: Glee’s PoM Hits #1!

Not surprisingly, Glee‘s 7-track EP CD of their “The Power of Madonna” episode entered the Billboard Hot 200 chart at #1, selling 98,000 copies! Not only that, ALL SEVEN songs from the CD made it on to the Digital Single Sales chart, with “Like A Prayer” ranking the highest, at #10!

And altho that’s a feat in itself, the CD OUTSOLD the ACTUAL Madonna…her newest CD, “The Stick & Sweet Tour” only sold a total of 41,000 in its first 3 weeks.

In all fairness, Madonna’s CD IS a compilation CD…so there aren’t really NEW hits on there…while Glee‘s CD is obviously NEW.  But still…outselling the original artist is pretty AWESOME!  Go Glee!

LEA MICHELE: JustJared Interview

Lea Michele did a video/phone interview (she’s on screen but he’s just via telephone/audio) with Just Jared (I get a lot of my news/pics from his site – http://justjared.buzznet.com).

This was a really cute interview because it felt so much more “natural” and real…like she was just talking story with Jared. Lea talks about the show, upcoming tour, Broadway and about why she loves New York. She’s so cute…she even tweets about it right there during the interview!

Enjoy!

AMERICAN IDOL Top 6 Results

CRAZY.  That’s the best word to describe what happened tonight.  CAN’T BELIEVE IT.

The fact that Siobhan got booted BEFORE Mike OR Aaron is just…I’ll say it again…CRAZY.  Just goes to show HOW fickle the fans are this season…I mean, there’s like a DIFFERENT B3 EVERY WEEK!

I seriously think that when the judges saved Mike, that messed up the whole system for the rest of the season.  And now they couldn’t save Siobhan even if they WANTED to.  WASTED SAVE.  I still believe that.  I mean…Mike WAS BOOTED at the Top 9…and yet he’s STILL THERE.  WHO is voting for that guy?!  Actually, the better question is – WHY are they voting for that guy?!

Aaron I can understand a little more.  I’m ALMOST POSITIVE that when Tim got voted off last week, ALL of his voters MOVED OVER to Aaron’s camp.  So that explains why Aaron wasn’t even IN the B3 this week.

And Siobhan…after WEEKS of getting negative criticism from the judges…and yet she WASN’T EVER in the B3…the ONE WEEK she FINALLY does something that was ACROSS THE BOARDS loved by the judges…not only does she end up B3, but she gets booted!  WHY THE FACE?!

You all know that I was a big fan of Siobhan’s…I still think she had probably the best voice (technically) out of all the contestants…her range was ridiculous, and she did SO MANY things vocally in EVERY performance…things no other contestant could even come close to…and yet she’s gone…already.  Gonna have a hard time blogging about the performances every week now that Siobhan’s not there.  She really was the only (besides Lee) reason I watched every week.  I just loved listening to her voice.  I’m REALLY SAD (and annoyed) about this.

To be honest, I don’t really have a reason to get excited about this season anymore.  I mean, with Crystal being the ONLY girl among 4 guys…might as well just HAND OVER the crown to her.  Ugh.  I’m rooting for Lee now, but I’m just not AS excited about him as I was about Siobhan.  BUT, you all know I’m not the biggest fan of Crystal’s, so if it comes down to Lee vs Crystal (which, based on the fact that neither have been in the B3, will probably happen), I will VOTE LIKE CRAZY to make sure Lee wins.  And you KNOW I will. :)

AMERICAN IDOL Top 6 Predictions

Shania Twain week turned out to be a PRETTY GOOD week for most of the contestants…I think with only 6 left, they won’t be able to do a B3, so:

BOTTOM 2:

Mike

Aaron

BOOTED:

Mike really didn’t stand out this week at all, and I didn’t care for his interpretation.  I think Aaron’s little girls will vote more religiously to keep him in.

LEA MICHELE in Asos Magazine – May 2010

Lea Michele was the cover girl for Asos magazine…don’t really know this magazine, but seems like Asos is some kind of online fashion store.  They went for the little edgier/darker look…

She looks great!

GLEE 4/27/10: 1.16 “Home” *UPDATED

This episode was definitely more storyline-based compared to last week’s musical-based Madonna episode.

  • Man, when they bring Kristin Chenowith on the show, they definitely take advantage of her musical background…she gets to sing A LOT.
  • Oh man, I was so worried something was going to happen between April & Will.  Thought they were going to end up sleeping together.  Thank god they didn’t.
  • I just LOVE hearing Matthew Morrison & Kristin sing together…their voices blend SO WELL.  Every time I hear Matt sing, I fall a little more in love with him.

  • Oh, and btw…when Will was singing in his PJs…he looked REALLY GOOD in that t-shirt.  REALLY GOOD. :)   And his hairdo in that scene…can you say James Dean? *swoon*
  • When Kristin sang “Home” at the end with New Directions backing her up…that was awesome.  Such a Broadway song, but Kristin sounded amazing…and that last note – WOW.
  • SIDE NOTE:  OMG!  Home Sweet Home playing in the background at the roller rink!  CARRIE!  That was SO AWESOME! Probably the BEST SURPRISE! :)

  • Poor Kurt.  Bringing his father and Finn’s mother seemed like a good idea at first.
  • Felt so bad for him when his dad was just “bonding” with Finn over sports…
  • Loved hearing Chris Colfer sing a solo…he really does have a GREAT voice.  So nice to hear his lower register too.

  • Very REAL storyline with Mercedes…
  • The scene with Mercedes and Quinn – Now THAT’S why we can LOVE Quinn (and NOT Santana)…

  • Oh, and the short little scene with some of the gleeks dressed up as food…so cute! :)
  • Gotta give props to Amber Riley…she did a great job with the acting this week…as well as singing “Beautiful.”  That was a touching number.
  • How lucky was Sue that Mercedes’ number HELPED her reputation for that article…UGH.

  • This was probably the LEAST amount of air time that Rachel has EVER had on this show…I was kinda sad about that, but she deserved a break…and others deserved their time to shine.
  • Funny how they still found ways of throwing Rachel in whenever they could. ;)   Like how I just did. :)

This episode was almost the exact OPPOSITE of last week’s Madonna episode…probably why they showed it in this order.  Very serious topics. I actually felt like this episode wasn’t as effective as the previous “heart tugger” episodes – “Preggers” and “Wheels”…almost like they were trying to rush into the emotion without giving enough time to really set it up…especially Mercedes’ storyline.

To be honest, I prefer the more quirky funny stuff…at least for this show.  But it was nice to change up the pace for a week.  And it was nice for Kurt and Mercedes to have such frontburner storylines.

DANCING WITH THE STARS Top 7 Results

Well, his time finally came…and I GOT IT RIGHT this week!  I really think the swing-off early elimination did him in.  And it’s just like Jake for him to get so emotional and CRY.  Seemed like he really enjoyed his experience.  Vienna sure looked sad that he was eliminated…actually, her facial expression was SO sad that it almost looked fake…like she REALLY had to put that sad face on.  Oh, and saw his Mom next to Vienna too.

Poor Chelsie…she always gets put with a partner that CAN’T win.  Hopefully next season she can get a WINNER! :)

GLEE PROMO: 1.17 “Bad Reputation”

Looks like next week we’re going back to CLASSIC GLEE…looks awesome!

ICE ICE BABY!!! :)   OMG!  Can’t wait!

AMERICAN IDOL 4/27/10: Top 6 Performances

Shania Twain…I love her and miss her music!  Altho I love her music, imo Shania is much more of a songwriter than a a singer.  Cool to hear the idols doing her songs…

LEE You’re Still The One: This is one of Shania most FAMOUS songs…it was a TOTAL CROSSOVER hit.  Loved that Lee made it his own.  He’s so good at adding his little touch to the style of the song.  As usual, Lee definitely had some PITCHY spots, but he covers it up with the style.  Good job, altho the fact that he went first will hurt him a little…since that song wasn’t outstanding.  But still good job.

MIKE It Only Hurts When I’m Breathing: Mike…you NEED to ENUNCIATE the lyrics.  Couldn’t understand ANYTHING you were singing.  Didn’t really care for it at all.  Not much else to say.  I can totally understand what Simon was saying about it being WET.  EH.

CASEY Don’t: I thought that was a GOOD performance…probably one of his best actually (besides the week he did “Jealous Guy”).  He did a great job with it and was very connected to the song.  He also LOOKED good too. :)   Considering he ended up in the B3 last week, he needed a performance like this this week.

CRYSTAL No One Needs To Know: Wow, Crystal was actually had an inconsistent week.  That really was NOT very good, imo.  She seemed really uncomfortable…almost like she was singing it for the first time.  It felt like it was dragging…but that might be because I know Shania’s original version.  Crystal mentioned how all her other performances were a lot bigger…ARE THEY?  I don’t really think there’s that much of a difference…she’s basically the same every week.

AARON You’ve Got A Way: This isn’t one of my most favorite Shania songs…and to me, it seems like an odd song to sing, especially because he had to change the lyrics.  He started off shaky, but he did hold out the notes here and there.  Singing the song to his mom?  Talk about getting the “awws” from the audience.  I definitely didn’t love his performance like the judges did…another EH for me.

SIOBHAN Any Man of Mine: I LOVE this song!  This was the song that actually made me become a fan of Shania’s.  After how many weeks of ballads, SO GLAD Siobhan picked an upbeat song!  She was one of the few who did, in fact…which will help her stand out!  Smart decision!  Nice attitude Siobhan…glad she moved around the stage, into the audience.  The 2nd half was good…she really got into it, had the GROWL and the money notes!  GREAT JOB!  Siobhan needed to spice it up…and she DID!

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES 4/18/10: 6.20 “Epiphany”

I love when DH does these flashback episodes where they are able to use history to tell the current story and how it came to be.  Pretty cool how they can link Eddie to all the ladies and explain how he became this…killer.

  • Yay!  Mary Alice!  It’s so nice that she can come back here and there like this to help tell the story…
  • Gosh, so Eddie really has grown up in Fairview like everyone else…he’s been around for a while.  No wonder everyone’s so comfortable and “takes care” of him…

  • I can see why Eddie’s mom turned out to be so messed up like that…and she blames Eddie for all her problems, especially the fact that her husband left her.  Felt bad for Eddie tho…never had that motherly love.  And you wonder why his view of women is a bit “skewed”…
  • Glad they explained why Julie ended up getting strangled…so Eddie DID think it was Susan…I thought that incident would’ve turned him around, since he so clearly felt SO guilty and bad about what he did to Julie…but apparently that guilt wasn’t enough to turn him around.
  • You just KNEW Eddie was going to end up killing his mom…unfortunately.
  • NO Lynette!  Don’t INVITE him to LIVE with your family!  KILLER!
  • What I’m wondering is…is this storyline TOTALLY SEPARATE from the Angie storyline?  Kinda weird how they have two major storylines that have yet to get resolved…  Kinda takes away from the whole Angie storyline now…

DANCING WITH THE STARS: Top 7 Performances + Predictions

Hmm, don’t have TOO much to say about this week…here’s my random thoughts:

  • Nicole was the “gal of the evening,” getting the highest performance score (including a 10!) AND winning the “swing-off”!  I thought maybe they’d give it to Erin instead since Nicole really didn’t need that extra point in the swing-off.  Oh well.  I’m still rooting for Nicole to win this whole thing…

  • I really like Niecy…she’s just so FUN.  Their routine with the cookie was pretty creative. :)   Very appropriate for Niecy.

  • To be honest, I didn’t actually WATCH Chad’s performance, but that’s because I’m done with him and don’t really care to have him around anymore…

  • The one I really feel for is Pamela…she has REALLY been trying and working so hard.  I actually think she’s not bad too.  She seems really dedicated and seems like a nice person.  Unfortunately she’s JUST. NOT. POPULAR.  Probably doesn’t help that she makes comments like “I like to be on top.”  Ahem… :-/
  • Give Pam credit tho…She’s was #3 in the Swing-Off!  Good job!

  • Jake is almost TOO over the top…his facial expressions are pretty funny.  Very “Jake.”  His confidence has definitely improved tho.

PREDICTIONS:

Bottom 2:

  • Chad
  • Jake

I would’ve said Pam, but I think the fact that she hung on so long in the swing-off will help pull her out this week…

BOOTED:

Jake

Altho he’s been improving, him being on the bottom of the leaderboard this week and also getting kicked out of the swing-off FIRST will do him in.
