Shania Twain…I love her and miss her music! Altho I love her music, imo Shania is much more of a songwriter than a a singer. Cool to hear the idols doing her songs…
LEE You’re Still The One: This is one of Shania most FAMOUS songs…it was a TOTAL CROSSOVER hit. Loved that Lee made it his own. He’s so good at adding his little touch to the style of the song. As usual, Lee definitely had some PITCHY spots, but he covers it up with the style. Good job, altho the fact that he went first will hurt him a little…since that song wasn’t outstanding. But still good job.

MIKE It Only Hurts When I’m Breathing: Mike…you NEED to ENUNCIATE the lyrics. Couldn’t understand ANYTHING you were singing. Didn’t really care for it at all. Not much else to say. I can totally understand what Simon was saying about it being WET. EH.

CASEY Don’t: I thought that was a GOOD performance…probably one of his best actually (besides the week he did “Jealous Guy”). He did a great job with it and was very connected to the song. He also LOOKED good too.
Considering he ended up in the B3 last week, he needed a performance like this this week.
CRYSTAL No One Needs To Know: Wow, Crystal was actually had an inconsistent week. That really was NOT very good, imo. She seemed really uncomfortable…almost like she was singing it for the first time. It felt like it was dragging…but that might be because I know Shania’s original version. Crystal mentioned how all her other performances were a lot bigger…ARE THEY? I don’t really think there’s that much of a difference…she’s basically the same every week.

AARON You’ve Got A Way: This isn’t one of my most favorite Shania songs…and to me, it seems like an odd song to sing, especially because he had to change the lyrics. He started off shaky, but he did hold out the notes here and there. Singing the song to his mom? Talk about getting the “awws” from the audience. I definitely didn’t love his performance like the judges did…another EH for me.
SIOBHAN Any Man of Mine: I LOVE this song! This was the song that actually made me become a fan of Shania’s. After how many weeks of ballads, SO GLAD Siobhan picked an upbeat song! She was one of the few who did, in fact…which will help her stand out! Smart decision! Nice attitude Siobhan…glad she moved around the stage, into the audience. The 2nd half was good…she really got into it, had the GROWL and the money notes! GREAT JOB! Siobhan needed to spice it up…and she DID!
