GLEE Video: “The Power of Madonna” Preview

Here’s the preview for next weeks’ episode, The Power of Madonna:

GLEE VIDEO: Vogue

In case you missed the preview of Sue Sylvester’s “Vogue” video from next week’s “The Power of Madonna” episode, here it is!

I have to say, it was AWESOME! Almost EXACTLY like the actual Madonna music video! The outfits and everything!  Crazy good! Kurt and Mercedes looked great too, especially Kurt!  You get to see/hear Sue/Jane Lynch SING AND DANCE!  Can’t say enough about it!

I also LOVED how they changed certain lyrics – “Sue Sylvester, dance on air” and “Will Schuester, I hate you.” L-O-V-E.

If this is any indication of next week’s episode…it WILL be EPIC!

CAN. NOT. WAIT.

GLEE 4/13/10: 1.14 “Hell-o”

After ALL this time…GLEE has returned!  Woohoo!

And we pick up RIGHT where we left off…

  • Rachel with the “Team Finn” shirt was HILARIOUS!  It’s so cute how she just loves him so much…she’s SO not embarrassed to show her support for him!  Obviously, it’s a BIT much, but…that’s Rachel.  That’s why we love her. :)
  • Oh, and that CAT CALENDAR.  Wow.  A BIT stalker crazy, I must say.  But HILARIOUS. :)

  • Sue blackmailing Figgins in bed!  OMG.  That’s SO Sue!  Crazy!  This definitely beats the Air India bit she had over him the first time…

  • I actually thought Emma looked a lot prettier than last time we saw her…softer somehow.  Cute!
  • Oh, and HOW is Emma still working at WMHS?  Didn’t she submit her RESIGNATION at the end of last episode?!  Did she rescind it?  NO ACKNOWLEDGMENT/EXPLANATION about that one…

  • When Finn sang his Hello, I Love You song…for me, he just DOESN’T pull off the hot lead singer role…AT ALL.  Sorry.  It’s still a bit awkward.  I do have to say this song was probably my favorite solo Finn’s done this season so far tho, vocally.  I like the song.  He should just stick to the awkward, cute guy.

  • That scene when Finn broke up with Rachel…Lea MIchele was so good!  I TOTALLY FELT for Rachel!  How she gave such an argument about how well she knows him, and then how she was just DEVASTATED about it…the tears and all.  Awesome.

  • Gives You Hell – SUCH an appropriate song for what Rachel was feeling after Finn dumped her.  I do have to comment on Rachel’s clothes tho.  Top – Cute. Hair – Cute. Skirt?  WTH is WITH that bow on the front?!  And those leggings and shoes?!  Oh boy…SO Rachel.  But the RED color totally matched the song/mood of that performance.  Lea’s vocals, as usual, were awesome.  Love her version more than the All-American Rejects one. :)
  • Oh, and this was one of the first times we’ve seen Rachel so mad during a song…kind of a different side to her.

  • Hello – First of all, WTH is a PIANO doing in that library?!  Or was that not a library?  Pretty ridiculous how they’re singing and playing the  piano in the middle of that room like that.  Jonathan Groff and Lea Michele definitely have a bit of chemistry there tho.  Jonathan matches that “miva” (male diva) role quite well. :)   Now the question is…is Jesse USING Rachel?

  • Dolphins are just gay sharks.” What would an episode be without a “Brittney Quote”?! :)   LOL
  • Santana and Brittney are just ridiculous…”Puck is hot…“  “Finn is cute.”  “Yeah, but he’s not hot tho…“  “Hello…I’m right here.”  :)   Can’t believe Finn is even CONSIDERING dating them…I know Santana is beautiful but…really hard to think of her like that when she acts like such a b**** all the time.

  • Emma is a virgin…I don’t think ANYONE was surprised about that one.

  • Wow, Will is a bit of a whore isn’t he?! :)   Man…that was SOME makeout session with Shelby wasn’t it?!  I guess he has to “fight the urge” with Emma, so… :-p
  • Oh, and AFTER the makeout session, when he was with Shelby in the kitchen, I gotta say…and I really don’t like using the word, but it sums it up the best…Will looked pretty HOT.  The shirt, his arms…VERY attractive. :) *swoon*

  • Ooo…ULTIMATUM!  Kinda feel bad for Rachel…FINALLY when she finds (or thinks she finds) someone she’s really into who’s supposedly into her…she has to dump him in order to stay in Glee Club.
  • The part that was kind of sad was when Rachel said, “I know who I am…How many chances like this am I going to get?”  Aww!  For most people, you would think they’re so stupid for falling for the “enemy” like this, but…Rachel doesn’t come across/in contact with too many guys who actually show a “genuine” interest in her like Jesse has (or seems to).  Of COURSE Rachel has to kind of believe it.

  • Terri is evil!  Jessalyn is REALLY good man…so mean.  I do have to note that just like Emma, and even tho her character is so hard to like, I thought that Terri ALSO looked a lot prettier now than before.  Seems like Terri will still be a definite constant in this whole Will/Emma budding romance…makes it interesting!

  • Jesse’s good…if he didn’t before, he definitely has Rachel “hooked” now.  Ooo, and that shot of Shelby in the background watching Jesse kiss Rachel…Argh!  Poor Rachel!

  • Hello Goodbye – The best part was watching Finn & Rachel.  They said SO MUCH with their facial expressions/actions in this performance.  Kind of sad actually…usually they’re both (especially Rachel) so happy when they perform…not this time.
  • Rachel was in “pain” because Finn finally told her he wants to be with her (after being SO wishy washy about it!), but she’s now involved with Jesse.
  • Finn had SUCH determination when he was singing…he was basically telling her “I’m GONNA WIN YOU BACK, Rachel.”  Loved that!
  • It’s so great to finally see FINN have to fight for Rachel for once.  Up until now, SHE was basically THROWING HERSELF at him, but now he has to prove to her that he wants her.  It’ll be fun to see how it plays out…’cause I don’t think it’s gonna be as easy as Finn thinks…

Can’t tell you how GREAT it is to have Glee back.  I missed it so much!  CAN’T WAIT to see the rest of the season…!  Adding this to American Idol, Tuesdays have become THAT much better… :)

AMERICAN IDOL 4/13/10: Top 9 Performances (Again)

Here we are with the TOP9 AGAIN…Still think it was a WASTE of a save last week.  OK, but let’s not DWELL on that…:)…on to the show!

CRYSTAL Saved: At least this week we had quite an upbeat song from Crystal.  Lots of energy in that song.  As usual, her vocals sounded great.  Liked how her electric guitar was “bedazzled.”  Other than that, there’s not much else I can say, so I will go with a “Melinda Doolittle” commentary…She was the SAME again this week…the USUAL.

ANDREW Hound Dog: OK, I was BORED.  Seriously.  In his mentoring session with Adam, Adam wanted him to “give more” ’cause it was so sluggish at first, then he TRIED to give it some pep, but…OMG.  Did he REALLY speed it up?!  I felt NO ENERGY.  SLUGGISH and LAZY…TOTALLY.  Almost kinda whiny.  Man.  Not good.

TIM Can’t Help Falling In Love: OMG Tim!  What is HAPPENING every week?!  I think you’re SERIOUSLY starting to EARN your stay on this show.  THAT, I gotta say…was QUITE SWOONWORTHY.  I loved the guitar playing he did…it was so exposed and vulnerable, and it felt very VERY genuine.  I wished he took Adam’s advice and stayed at that upper register at the end tho.  That was probably because of his “insecurities,” but…GOOD JOB “TUrban”! :)

LEE A Little Less Conversation: As SOON as Lee starting singing…Man, that GROWL in his voice is  just AWESOME!  Love it!  I love this song to begin with, and Lee’s arrangement definitely changed it, but in a good way.  It was great!  So cute how Adam told Lee he needs to smile more to show he’s having a good time…I totally could see him trying to do that while he was performing.  Not that it means anything, but I thought it was interesting how Lee was standing/his mike was right IN FRONT of the step.  On the lower part of the stage.  No one’s ever done that.  Oh, and that GRIN and THUMBS UP that Lee gave while his number was being given was pretty CUTE! :)

AARON Blue Suede Shoes: First of all, when Aaron met with Adam, first thing I thought was…OMG, Aaron could be Adam’s son or little brother.  He looked SO TINY compared to Adam.  Pretty hilarious.  I didn’t think the song fit him.  He couldn’t really pull it off.  It’s almost like you have to be a more SEASONED performer to pull this one off, and Aaron just seemed a bit awkward.

SIOBHAN Suspicious Minds: OK, I’m starting to really get frustrated with the judges (particularly Simon & Kara) regarding Siobhan.  I thought that was a very good performance.  Her vocals were quite good…she did a whole BUNCH of stuff technically there.  Loved how it started faster, got slow in the middle, then got showy at the end.  I loved Siobhan’s answer to the judges comments about her being unique and not fitting in ONE place.  I mean…to take the word from Glee…HELL-O…the reason she’s there is BECAUSE she’s unique and different.  That’s what America loves about her…she’s comfortable in herself and does what she loves.  She’s SO genuine and takes the criticism well.  PLUS, her vocals were on, imo.  LOVED that growl in the middle she did. Oh, and that outfit…wow, she’s super skinny!  Nice body!  Kinda sexy actually…and that lightning pattern matched the Elvis theme…

MICHAEL In The Ghetto: After the (pointless) save last week, I’m sure A LOT of eyes were on Mike’s tonight.  Now this song…if you can believe…I LOVED Taylor Hicks’ version back in Season 5, so it’s hard for me to really love another version of it.  As usual, Mike put his own soulful spin to it.  Eh.  His vocals were typical.  I have a hard time listening to him when he holds out his notes…very pompous somehow.  Sorry.  Not much else to say.  OH, and BTW…Mike should THANK Siobhan for suggesting this song to him.  He probably wouldn’t have even given this song a second look if Siobhan didn’t tell him about it.

KATIE Baby What Do You Want Me To Do: Katie had some sass to her performance, but to be honest, I just didn’t really feel it.  Probably didn’t help that I didn’t know that song to begin with.  Don’t have too much else to say…

CASEY Lawdy, Miss Clawdy: Not impressed with Casey this week.  Another obscure song doesn’t help.  But it really felt like just a TYPICAL Casey performance.  Wasn’t really worthy of that pimp spot.  His vocals were pretty consistent tho.  Eh.  Nothing special at all.  If I were to hear THAT every week, I wouldn’t buy his album.  Not quite my cup of tea, but yet his fans probably liked it.

I thought Adam did a great job as a mentor.  Like he told the contestants, he’s new to the whole “music scene,” BUT he TOTALLY knows what it’s like to be in their shoes right now.  I thought he was very honest and totally up front with the idols.  When he told…Andrew, I think it was, that he was boring…that was great.  You WANNA know what’s good/bad about it…so you can improve it.  No sugarcoating there.  Adam gave good advice/tips to them as well.  He was very respectful of them, and seemed to pick up on their strengths/weaknesses pretty easily.  Great job Adam!

LOOK FOR: Glee Preview of Vogue After “Hell-O”

Just wanted to let you know that after the spring premiere episode of Glee tonight, they will be giving us a sneak peek of next week’s episode, “The Power of Madonna,” with the HIGHLY ANTICIPATED Sue Sylvester performance of Madonna’s “Vogue”…!

Can’t wait for that!

GLEE VIDEO: Romance Predictions/Scoop

E! was at FOX’s spring premiere for Glee.  Short interviews with many of the cast, mainly questions about their characters’ love lives…

My favorite part:

Jonathan to Lea (about Rachel’s love interests):  “Who would you pick?

Lea:  “Can’t I have all 3?  I really like the diversity…:)

Kristin:  “You can go to Utah and do that.  I think it’s legal there.LOL!
