CELEBRITY APPRENTICE 2011: Episode 2

Well, what can I say?  Lisa Rinna had NO CHANCE tonight.  NO CHANCE.  Already from the first episode I had an issue with Lisa.  She was WEAK and she was very two-faced…she was so good at talking bad about people and their ideas behind their backs…but never to their face.  Now this week she was “FORCED” into being the women’s project manager.  FORCED?  Come on.  You always have a choice.  Altho in her defense, a LOT of those ladies (especially Star & Dionne) are SO TOUGH that it’s hard to go against them.  As Lisa found out in this episode…

We could tell last week that Star obviously is tough.  I mean, she’s been tough ever since we’ve seen her on TV at all back when she was on The View.  Not to mention she’s a lawyer.  This episode was no different.  She and Lisa did NOT (nor have they ever) get along.  Lisa obviously needed to be more tough, and Star totally took advantage of that.  Star pretty much would go against practically everything Lisa said, she would make like she’s supporting Lisa, but really she was trying to take control without really taking control.  Then that way she could blame Lisa if it didn’t work out in the end (which it didn’t).  Like when she didn’t want to have the final approval with the book.

Now Dionne…Last week we saw she was a “tough cookie” as well (with her resistance at the cash register and moving FASTER)…but THIS WEEK…Woah.  Can you say DIVA?  First she gets into it with Marlee, who btw is ANOTHER STRONG personality.  Marlee’s been fighting and proving herself her whole life because of her disability, so she was not about to let Dionne walk all over her when it came to the theme of the children’s book.  Then Dionne and Lisa got into it too later in the episode.  Dionne doesn’t take no guff, that’s for sure.  She kinda seems sorta soft-spoken when you see her just sitting there…and even the way she carries herself.  But…umm…NO.  Not at ALL.  You gotta watch out for her.

I cannot BELIEVE that Star & Dionne wanted their names on the book cover.  I mean…seriously?!  Yes, they MAY have come up with the theme and wrote the story, but…this IS a team effort.  Every week there are going to be people who come up with the idea/contribute significantly, but…as TEAM members you KNOW that it is a TEAM effort and the result is the TEAM’S.  Talk about divas.  It was ridiculous.

But surprisingly, with all of their battles and drama, I did think the final product and performance of their children’s book went off really well.  The ladies were all able to suck it up and pull it together.  It was quite an entertaining performance, I must say.  Too bad it didn’t end with positive results.  That probably would’ve helped their team morale.

Although Lisa was NOT my most favorite contestant, I did feel for her a little bit in the boardroom.  The entire team…but mainly Star & Dionne…were totally throwing her under the bus.  And they were doing that from the moment they “convinced” Lisa to be PM.  You could tell that Lisa was not tough enough to stand her ground…and those two divas were just killing her in the boardroom.  At least Star has a PM win to back herself up…now Dionne…if/when she becomes PM, it should be very interesting.  Does she really think she can do a better job?!  She is a TOUGH personality, and I don’t think all those ladies (especially Marlee) will just sit back and let her push them around.  We shall see…

Not much to say about the guys except that it was funny to see Jose dressed up as a woman…and very touching to see Meatloaf so emotional.  Totally didn’t expect that.  Cute to see that he wears his heart on his sleeve like that.  Kinda sucks that altho he worked just as hard as Star did for the win, he only gets $20,000 (plus profits from the book) for his charity while Star won close to $170,000 for her charity.  Just gotta be lucky with the tasks you PM…
