Behind the Glee about the prom episode.  Cute…especially when Jonathan Groff & Lea were talking…when Jonathan imitates Lea from one of the takes with his eyes crossed.  LOL!

GLEE 5/10/11: 2.20 “Prom Queen”

Prom!  How exciting (especially since they didn’t have one last season)!

I felt really bad for Mercedes.  She always makes like she doesn’t care that she doesn’t have anyone, and that she’s totally fine being a strong woman on her own…but deep down she’s like every normal high school girl – she wants to have a “sweetie.”  Very sweet of Rachel to listen/talk to her and to come up with a “plan.”

I LOVED the whole “trying on the dress” scene.  Not only was it cute that Kurt was there with the girls, but how cute (yet odd) was it that SANTANA was there with LAUREN trying on dresses.  Who woulda thunk?!  And Kurt was right…go for navy Lauren…not yellow!

A “threesome” for prom!  How CUTE is that?!  Loved it.  Lots of cute moments going on so far…

Oh boy…Jesse’s back.  Now THAT’S definitely gonna cause some DRAMA.  Oh, and gotta love that scarf Jesse was wearing…so “Broadway diva.”

Not sure if I love this version of Adele’s Rolling in the Deep, I gotta be honest.  It’s definitely a different take on the song…and only Lea Michele & Jonathan Groff (who btw sounded QUITE AWESOME in this number) could pull off an acapella version like this.

Rachel is TOO SWEET!  Giving Finn tips on what kind of corsage to get Quinn.  Finn does NOT deserve her being SO NICE to him.  ESPECIALLY because it’s killing her inside to even think of Fuinn.  She really should MOVE ON from Finn…she deserves better!

Nice version of Stevie’s Isn’t She Lovely by Artie.  Too bad it didn’t work.  I loved how Puck, Sam & Finn came in as backups.  Playing “instruments” with all the cooking utensils.  Very cute.  Poor Artie.  I’m actually surprised Brittany hasn’t forgiven him yet…altho I can understand.  He did call her stupid after all.

Wow.  Did NOT expect such an emotional breakdown from Karofsky.  Such a touching moment.  Glad he was finally able to really apologize to Kurt.  Poor Dave…he’s just SO TORN.  So much he has to struggle with.  Probably WOULD be easier for him to just come out already.  Definitely would be SUCH a weight off his shoulders.

Altho I like Jonathan Groff, and I loved that the four of them were all together like that,  I didn’t really love that Jesse got to be a part of their prom after only JUST coming back in to Rachel’s life out of the blue.  After all, he EGGED her remember?!  That should’ve been too horrible to forgive.

What can I say about Friday?  I do NOT like Rebecca Black’s version AT ALL.  Her voice is so irritating.  But the guy’s version?  KINDA CATCHY, gotta say.  Definitely is a good song for a party!  They guys did a great job with a REALLY BAD song.  Have you listened to the lyrics?!  SO BAD.

Just as I didn’t know what to say about Friday, I CAN’T SAY ENOUGH about Jar of Hearts!  As usual, Lea just SLAYS any song she sings.  Her version is AMAZING!  Christina Perri’s original version is good too, but Lea’s voice is just so pure and polished…and I actually felt much more emotion from Lea’s version.  Very appropriate song for Rachel’s situation.  LOVE LOVE LOVED this one.  It will be ON REPEAT for a while for me.

Finn was SO DUMB.  We all know it was irritating him to see Rachel with Jesse, especially seeing how CLOSE they were being.  BUT who’s fault is THAT?!  Who’s the one that BROKE UP with Rachel?!  Huh?!  Huh?!  Idiot.  And I really don’t think Rachel brought Jesse ON PURPOSE to make Finn jealous.  Why should she have to go to prom alone just so that Finn doesn’t get jealous?!  I mean…she HAS to move on if he’s going to stay with Quinn.  Geez Finn!  Then you get kicked out of prom!  Good for you!  So immature!

As expected, that slap was not NEARLY as good in the actual show than it was in the promo commercial.  Not NEARLY.  Plus Quinn apologizes right after.  Kinda loses its meanness when that happened.

*TIDBIT*:  Someone tweeted to Dianna Agron asking about the slap – RT @FiendOrFriend: @alittlelamb how hard was that scene 4 u 2 do where u hit lea?  @alittlelamb Movie magic! Never touched that lovely face, no no! 

Karofsky as Prom King.  Not too much of a surprise.  Obviously he’s kept his secret well.

Yay Kurt!  Being able to walk up on that stage to accept the Prom Queen title, very well knowing where it came from/why he got it.  Good job!  I was happy for him!

Although a LOT happened in this episode/at Prom, it turned out to be a happy night!  I thought they did a great job with the episode!  Yay Glee!
