This will be my 2nd season of America’s Got Talent. Wasn’t sure if I was going to tune in this season, but decided I’ll give it another try.
Here are just a few of the acts that stood out to me tonight:
RYAN ANDREAS Angel:
- Although I still honestly DON’T want a singer to win this show (what’s the point of featuring all these OTHER types of acts if just another SINGER wins the whole thing?! Might as well be American Idol in that case!), I have to say Ryan really impressed me. I thought he was going to choke and wasn’t going to be able to perform, but…once he started singing…Wow! Did NOT expect his voice to sound like that. It was so raspy and full! Nice sound! He sounded great!
LANDON SWANK:
- I wouldn’t say Landon’s magic trick was THE BEST I’ve ever seen…but it was quite impressive. And Landon is QUITE easy on the eyes, which helps a lot.
Seems like a nice guy too. I’m SURE he has bigger tricks up his sleeve, so I’m looking forward to what else he’s got.
SH’BOSS BOYS:
- How could I NOT put these little boys down?! They were adorable! And when that boy answered Piers’ question about what he’d do with $1 million dollars…with the answer that he did…OMG. That was awesome.
They lyrics of the song they rapped was so cute too…so age appropriate!
iLUMINATE:
- iLuminate = Fighting Gravity Part II; These guys are very similar to what Fighting Gravity did last season. Piers said they are probably the MOST EXCITING act he’s seen. Umm…REALLY?! Altho they were quite unique and entertaining, I don’t know if I’d say they were the MOST exciting act ever. But it’ll be neat to see what they do next…

So glad that you’re back and have begun blogging again! AND that you decided to watch AGT again this season. I missed the first few acts so glad you put Ryan’s act on. All my mom said was a cyclist and a singer got in. I also loved his voice. I do understand when you say singers have other shows to showcase their talent, but he’s 34 (too old for AI) and probably really not “polished” enough to make it in other shows. He’s never, ever sang to an audience.
I also thought those little boys were adorable, esp the middle 6 year old with his slight speech impediment. My daughter had that exact same problem so it brought back memories. His expressions and words are so cute!
I had the same thought at soon as Illuminate’s act started. Very similar to fighting gravity, but they seem to have an extra element in their act (the colors, etc). Like you, I’m anxious to see future acts.

True…age would probably be the biggest factor as to why someone would NEED to compete on AGT vs AI.
Oh man…those boys were QUITE infectious, ESPECIALLY that 6 yr old. He MADE that act actually. Too cute. Glad they’ll be around for at least another round.
I’m hoping iLuminate will UP their act next round. Right now they’re worthy of moving on, but for me they’ll have to add more to their performance to make themselves even more impressive.

I went to high school with Landon, he performed at our school talent shows! So cool to see that he’s still working on his magic, awesome seeing him on tv!! Goooo Landon!!

That’s so cool that you know Landon! He did a great job! Still trying to figure out how he did his trick…especially the one with the girl disappearing from the box! Hope he stays in the competition!
