Jordin Sparks (along with John Legend), was part of a tribute to Whitney Houston last night on The Billboard Music Awards.
Jordin sang Whitney’s most famous & popular song, I Will Always Love You. TOUGH SONG! Jordin did a great job! Touching to see Whitney’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, in the audience crying to Jordin’s performance.
Carrie performed her new single, Blown Away (which is also the name of her new album), on The Billboard Awards last night.
Gotta love those industrial strength fans in the background there…Umm, they were a LITTLE too strong (hence her tousled hair at the end of the performance ), but no matter…she sounded great!
Just wanted to post my favorite looks of the Academy Awards red carpet this year…
Milla Jovovich
Milla’s dress just SPARKLES! Love the white…and the one shoulder. So pretty!
Jessica Chastain ("The Help")
This dress is obviously a bit of a risk for Jessica…but I love the gold on the black. And her hair looks great.
Rose Byrne ("Bridesmaids")
Rose’s look is a bit severe, but I love it. Her hair matches perfectly with the dress, and her body fits in this dress really well.
Viola Davis ("The Help")
The best thing about this dress is the COLOR. COLOR COLOR COLOR. The green on Viola’s skin tone is AWESOME. And love her hair! We never get to see it like that!
Missi Pyle ("The Artist")
Again, it’s all about COLOR COLOR COLOR. It’s AMAZING and looks perfect on Missi. I saw her interviewed on the red carpet, and she said that his dress is an ECO dress. Totally sustainable. Pretty cool huh? I LOVE it.
Angelina Jolie
This is probably one of my favorite looks of Angelina. Usually she wears black, but it looks more severe. This one actually looks more fun and “light” (even tho it’s black ). Love the slit. And her hair and makeup are PERFECT. Awesome.
Probably the most memorable moment of the Academy Awards red carpet this year was when Ryan Seacrest interviewed “The Dictator” (aka Sacha Baron Cohen).
Towards the end of the interview, “The Dictator” was explaining to Ryan how he was holding in an urn Kim Jong-Il’s “ashes,” then proceeds to “accidentally” spill the urn all over Ryan and his Burberry tuxedo! LOL!
The Belle of the Ball tonight at the Grammy Awards was without a doubt ADELE!
First of all, she looked GORGEOUS on the red carpet:
Then she sounded quite awesome during her much-anticipated performance — her first live performance since her throat surgery last year — singing her now award-winning single Rolling in the Deep!
And finally she won EVERY SINGLE AWARD she was nominated for, including the highly coveted ALBUM OF THE YEAR!
Album of the Year – Adele, 21
Record of the Year – Adele, “Rolling in the Deep”
Song of the Year – Adele, “Rolling in the Deep”
Best Pop Solo Performance – Adele, “Someone Like You”
Best Pop Vocal Album – Adele, 21
Best Short Form Music Video – Adele, “Rolling in the Deep”
But seriously…it shouldn’t have happened ANY OTHER WAY. She is SO DESERVING. That album, 21, is my favorite album of 2011…It’s just AMAZING.
With Glee being nominated for TV Comedy Series this year again, pretty much the entire cast was in attendance.
We’ll start with the guys…
Chord Overstreet
Harry Shum, Jr.
Cory Monteith
Chris Colfer
Mark Salling
Kevin McHale
Matthew Morrison
I know with guys, it’s hard to really judge since they basically all look the same. Glad this year the guys all stayed pretty classic overall. That’s the best look for guys…classic & clean.
The People’s Choice Awards aired tonight, and it was a big night for Lea Michele…
…Lea WON for Favorite TV Comedy Actress! Woohoo! (I voted, btw )
Lea tweeted after her win:
I CANNOT believe I just won!!!! You guys are the absolute best!!! Thank you so much for voting for me this is such an amazing blessing!!!— Lea Michele (@msleamichele) January 12, 2012
with Kristen Bell (who presented the award to Lea)
Two of my faves! With TV Drama Actress winner Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Diaries)
