Jon Trying to Make Peace…NOW?

According to reports today, Jon Gosselin has let go his lawyer whose been recently been trying to help him get primary custody of his kids from Kate.

Jon tweeted today:  “Mr. Anthony List Sr., Esq. is not my representing attorney; I terminated him on April 15, 2010.  He has no legal right to speak to the press or anyone on my behalf.”

“Kate, her attorneys and I are moving forward to work out things privately and amicably.”

Umm…doesn’t this seem a BIT convenient considering Jon’s tweeting this RIGHT AFTER Kate gets booted from Dancing with the Stars…now that she’s not “hogging” all the limelight anymore.  Hmm…

“I never wanted primary custody, [List] filed for that,” he tells TMZ. “I only wanted a more flexible custody schedule so I could be with my kids.”

All these statements…too conveniently released NOW.  Come on Jon…

More Info on Twist of Kate

Yesterday I posted about how Kate Gosselin will be back on TLC in 2 different shows airing this summer – Twist of Kate and Kate Plus 8.

Kate spoke about her upcoming TLC show, Twist of Kate, at the Discovery Communications’ NYC Upfront Thursday.

The show, which debuts this summer, will follow the single mother, 35, as she raises her eight children, as well as profile other women who are also in their own challenging situations.

“Every day I hear from women across the country who have incredible stories but are overwhelmed with their lives, asking me for advice on everything from potty training to organization,” the current Dancing With the Stars disaster explained. “None have asked for dancing advice, however. Just thought I’d add that.”

“So on my new show Twist of Kate, I’m going to spend a few days in their lives experiencing their challenges firsthand and lending a helping hand and maybe even some time off,” she went on.

As for her own kids, Gosselin said she’s “thrilled” to announce they’ll be returning to TV. For some specials this year, she said they’ll be “taking some fun trips and having some great adventures. They’re very excited.”

Kate Returns to TLC

TLC has announced that Kate Gosselin will be returning in TWO different shows, the first show starting in June.

“Twist of Kate” will follow the reality star and supermom as she visits the homes and workplaces of her subjects, where she will exchange insights for living. The 12-episode season will premiere in late summer, the TLC network said Thursday. Not sure if I understand exactly what this show is about…but sounds kind of interesting.

The single mother of young twins and sextuplets, Gosselin will also revisit her family life for a series of “Kate Plus 8″ specials beginning in June. Yay!  I’m assuming this means we’ll get to see the kids again?!

Wow.  TLC sure loves Kate don’t they?  2 series?!  I guess if I’m thinking from the network’s point of view, Kate DOES bring in ratings.

As you all know, I would call myself a Kate fan, so I for one am looking forward to BOTH of these series…

VIDEO: Jimmy Fallon’s “Paparazzi” Dance

Jimmy Fallon did a “tribute” to Kate Gosselin’s “Paparazzi” routine she performed on Dancing with the Stars this week.

Gotta love his outfit…that hair! It wasn’t the EXACT choreography that Kate did (Jimmy embellished it and did more ridiculous stuff), but it was gosh darn HILARIOUS!

THIS JUST IN: Jon Wants Full Custody

Gosh, I can’t believe it has come to this…

According to People, Jon Gosselin plans to sue Kate for FULL CUSTODY of their 8 kids, due to Kate being an “absentee parent.”  Supposedly if he does file, Jon will be seeking primary custody, and may also try to reverse the child support arrangement, which currently has him paying Kate around $21,000/month.

“He wants equal say with custody, equal time, but if the circumstances remain as they are, with Kate being rarely home, Jon wants primary custody of the children,” says lawyer Anthony List Sr., a former assistant U.S. attorney. “He is much better able to spend time with the children.” Umm..yeah…’cause he’s not doing ANYTHING.

“Kate Gosselin can’t have it both ways unless there is some balance, unless there are some opportunities for these eight children to be in her physical presence,” adds List. “Jon wants to spend time with these kids, and she is throwing up road blocks. And the eight children are the innocent victims. This tears Jon up.”

The latest legal wrangling from Jon, 33, comes as Kate, 35, is about to start a publicity campaign for her new book, I Just Want You To Know: Letters to My Kids on Love, Faith and Family, which is set to be released on April 13.

“It’s almost as if he deliberately timed this to sabotage her efforts to promote the book,” says one source close to the book’s publisher. “Now she’s once again going to defend herself as a mom when she should be able to just talk about this project that she worked so hard on.”

Kate’s response?

“I am not willing to comment in public on the custody discussions regarding my children,” Gosselin says in a new statement. “What I will say is this: I am and always will be a mother first, but as a single working mom, I will do everything necessary to provide for my kids despite the opinions of others. I can’t believe Jon WANTS FULL custody.  Does he realize what that MEANS?!  To have the kids FULL-TIME?!  Seriously?!  He WANTS that?!  Come on!  You know he’s probably only doing it to “get back” at Kate…she’s getting all the attention right now and is providing for her family with this current “job” of being on DWTS.

As for not being in the “physical presence” of her kids…HELLO?  Who’s the one that had the show MAKE a dancefloor in her HOUSE just so she can be near the kids in PA rather than rehearsing in LA?  She is with them as much as she can, except when she needs to fly to CA to tape the show.

And realistically, Kate’s NOT going to last much longer on DWTS anyway so she’ll be back home in PA before you know it.  It was just like any other business trip, but in a way better because she was back/forth and she rehearsed at home a lot of the time.

This posting may cause a bit of a stir, but imo, Jon’s ridiculous in even attempting to fight for full custody…does he really know what he’s getting into by doing that?!

OUT & ABOUT: Kate Gosselin

Kate and her DWTS partner, Tony Dovolani, attended the premiere of Discovery Channel’s Life in New York City on Thursday.  It’s amazing how now that Kate’s on the show, she’s just everywhere!

It’s actually nice to see her smiling and having a good time!  Before this, all we’d see is her looking pissed trying to avoid all the attention.  Now she can just be “free” and happy.

KATE GOSSELIN: “I Just Want You To Know”

Kate Gosselin’s been keeping busy, even after the cancellation of Jon & Kate Plus 8.  Kate will be releasing another book, her third:

I Just Want You To Know:  Letter to My Kids on Love, Faith & Family, will be released April 13.  The book will feature entries from her personal journal, eight letters written to each of her kids, and prayers of encouragement.

“Each day the thought crosses my mind that when they get older, my kids are going to look back and think about how they were raised,” Gosselin says in a statement. “I know they will have a lot of questions about things that may not make sense because they were raised so unconventionally. I don’t want them to grow up and wonder; I want them to know without a shadow of a doubt how much I love them and how much every sacrifice made was worth it for them.”

“I’m writing this book to encourage other mothers. Being a mother is the most tiring job you will ever have, and it’s the most worthwhile job. I want to inspire moms to create the memories and traditions that will provide their kids with a good foundation. ‘Moms, don’t ever stop doing your best. Don’t ever stop trying to make today better than yesterday.’ That’s the message of this book.”

Looks like Kate’s sporting her new “do” on the cover as well.  New look, new book.

Jon’s New Girlfriend

Jon Gosselin has a new girlfriend…

Her name is Morgan Christie…a 25-yr old from California. They met while skiing in Utah (Morgan has relatives who live there).  Supposedly because of his previous issues with the press, this time around Jon’s keeper a much lower profile with this new girl.  I’ve been trying to find a picture of Morgan, and this is the only one I could find…not even sure if this is really her:

OK…this is pretty ridiculous.  JustJared posted the cover of the new People magazine.  Kate Gosselin is on the cover…with HAIR EXTENSIONS!

How SILLY does this look?!  Seriously.  ’nuff said.

Jon Gosselin’s apartment ransacked

According to JustJared and TMZ, Jon Gosselin’s NYC apartment was ransacked…and supposedly reports are suggesting that it MAY have been done by Jon’s ex-gf (I didn’t know they had officially broken up), Hailey Glassman.

Based on the articles, his apartment was quite messed up.  There was also a note left behind with Hailey’s signature on it (altho they’re saying ANYONE could have written Hailey’s name down), claiming Jon is “a cheater. “

Jon hasn’t been in that apartment for like a week, as he’s spending the holiday with Kate and the kids.  Hailey supposed had been back there recently to clean out some of her things (which I guess fuels that fact that it COULD have been her who tore up the place).

What a nice Christmas gift for Jon to come home to…

Jon & Kate No More

Well, it is official…Jon & Kate Gosselin are now officially divorced.

According to Kate’s lawyer, Kate will be staying with the 8 kids at their Pennsylvania home.  Also, they agreed upon “the equitable distribution of marital property and the payment of child support.”
