REVENGE 2/29/12: 1.16 “Scandal”

While this wasn’t the most exciting and surprising episode, at LEAST we got some  answers…

• So we find out exactly what happened there on the beach with Daniel & Tyler.  Finding out it was Takeda who actually shot Tyler and killed him…was quite predictable.  Sad tho that he actually shot him in the back…TWICE.  Pretty brutal.
• The scene with Takeda & Emily was something.  Wow.  That’s the biggest question I have — WHY exactly is Takeda SO INVOLVED with Emily’s plan.  He’s basically taking things into his own hands now.  I mean, Emily didn’t expect/tell him to do what he did to Takeda.  And if he really is trying to help “clean up” Emily’s messes…the question is WHY?  WHAT’S IN IT FOR HIM?  Don’t quite get that.  He’s really putting himself out there by doing all that he did.  Hmm…
• Not only did Takeda take matters into his own hands, but he also “convinced” Nolan to work for him as well.  Man, this guy has a much bigger part than we initially thought.
• And Takeda said he “took care” of Amanda.  I think we all know that he didn’t KILL her.  I think she’s too important to this whole thing right now.  But I also don’t think we’ll be finding out/seeing her for a while…
• Jack needs to kind of stay out of the whole situation.  I think if he’s keeps trying to find out more about where Amanda is, etc, he’s going to put himself in more danger.  Cute tho how Declan really wants to try to help/protect his brother.
• Ashley Ashley…man, she must really want attention.  To leak the info/pictures about Daniel & the shooting.  Gosh.  She must really want to “move up in the world.”
• Another big reveal — We finally find out more about the whole plane crash & the reason why Conrad (and Victoria) needed to protect themselves by sabotaging those people on that plane.  So I guess it really WAS just for the power & money that they needed to frame David Clarke.  Hmm.  Gosh, so even tho Victoria supposedly loved David SO MUCH, when it came down to him or the power, she just couldn’t live without the power.
• BTW, on a side note — I loved seeing Victoria with David in the flashback.  She looked so much “softer” and more natural.  Not so “ice queen.”  So pretty!

Man…last episode for like a month!  What?!  No new episodes until April?!  TELL ME IT’S NOT TRUE!  BOO!

REVENGE 2/15/12: 1.15 “Chaos”

The episode we’ve all been waiting for…The engagement party!

• Oh my…Tyler came back!  Guess we shouldn’t be surprised huh?
• Can’t believe that Amanda betrayed Emily by working with Tyler!
• I guess now we know more why they brought Grandpa Grayson into the storyline…He’s there to keep the Grayson family name/reputation in tact.
• So cute when Nolan tried to convince Emily to just run away with Jack!  And totally…she should just DO THAT!

It was pretty neat to see the engagement party all over again.  It was like deja vu.  Although there was quite a bunch of OTHER things going on at/near the party that they didn’t show us in the pilot.  But there are a FEW questions that arose from this party:

• So we assume that Amanda got shot by Tyler right?  That’s why after she hugged Jack and ran away, he had blood on his hand.  But geez…that means she’s been bleeding the WHOLE time, all throughout the party?!
• The gift that Takeda gave Emily was the infinity box from her father right?  How did HE get it?!
• The biggest question I had was — WHAT was that LOOK between Nolan & Takeda at the party?!  I didn’t even know they KNEW each other!  Hmm.  Are they trying to tell us that Nolan kinda betrayed Emily?!  That was one of the best parts of the episode for me.  That look/connection between those two was such a nice little twist!  A little nugget to throw out there that we didn’t expect!  Loved it!
• After seeing that Tyler was back…and seeing how he had Daniel “hostage” at the party…I just KNEW that the whole body and shooting was going to end up being Tyler and not Daniel!  Especially when I saw that the two guys were dressed pretty much EXACTLY alike!  Glad it wasn’t Daniel who was shot!
• Now the question is — WHO shot/killed Tyler?  Because seeing Daniel come on to the crime scene at the end…you KNOW it’s not as cut & dry as it looked.  Seriously.  There’s GOTTA be more to the story.

We have to wait 2 weeks for the next new episode…!  Can’t wait!

REVENGE 2/9/12: 1.14 “Perception”

• Just a side note — I noticed in the opening credits, that Joshua Bowman’s (Daniel) name was changed to Josh Bowman instead…Wonder why?  Just an observation.
• Poor Jack.  The guy is so distraught over Amanda leaving.  And wow Nolan…going against Emily to help your GOOD FRIEND Jack out.  Surprised he let him actually watch the tape!
• I do feel sorry for Amanda.  She’s so loyal to Emily, yet she’s so torn.  I thought she left town/the country?!  I guess not since Emily was able to bring her back so quickly/easily.  Wonder how much longer she’ll be in the story?
• Bringing in Grandpa Grayson added a bit of a different dynamic to the Grayson family.  I didn’t realize Grayson Global WASN’T exactly Conrad’s company…He “inherited” it from his father.  Interesting.
• Why are we not surprised that Victoria has Grandpa wrapped around her little finger?   Wonder if Grandpa will be back for any more episodes…
• OMG…Victoria wearing PANTS?!  WTH is going on?!  It was such a shock!   Pretty funny actually.  That was like the comic relief for me in this episode!  She looked good as usual still tho…maybe even younger.
• The scene with Conrad & Charlotte was so sweet!  And it was sweet of Emily to not want to sabotage and have Charlotte find out about her paternity after watching them together…Aww!
• Poor Charlotte!  Having to find out Conrad’s not her father at dinner in front of everyone!  And Conrad was the one who spilled the beans!
• Glad to know the truth about David & Victoria’s affair also came out tho.  At least now Daniel doesn’t think David raped his mom.  So at least something good came out of the dinner.
• Oh boy…that ENDING!  Someone found Emily’s secret hiding place in her house!  Who do we think did it?!  My guess is Amanda.  The handwriting on the RSVP card looked like a woman’s imo.  And Amanda was pretty mad the last time she talked to Emily.  Hmm…Who else could it be?!

All I can say about next week is…CAN’T. WAIT.  It’s THE episode that probably EVERYONE is waiting for…!  The engagement party!  Where it all began!

REVENGE 1/18/12: 1.13 “Commitment”

Another great episode…!

• Wow.  I did NOT expect Conrad to find out about Charlotte’s paternity THAT fast.  And EMILY was the one who gave him that info!  Man.  Victoria’s really dug herself a hole as far as her divorce is concerned.  She’s gonna have a TOUGH fight now that her infidelity has been revealed!
• So we know now that Emily and Charlotte ARE DEFINITELY related.  I feel really bad for Conrad and Charlotte.  Conrad lost his little girl, and poor Charlotte is in the dark!  Conrad is obviously pushing Charlotte away, making her move back in with Victoria.  On a side note, Conrad paying for Declan’s tuition to the same school as Charlotte…Wow.
• Gotta give Amanda credit…She held her own with Victoria.  Even after Victoria “tested” her by giving her strawberries (which she was supposed to be allergic to).  She was quick on her toes.  Then for Victoria to get a DNA sample from Amanda’s spoon and give it to her lawyer to get tested.  Only to find out that Amanda “really is” Amanda…WHAT?!
• The lawyer!  He was working for/with Emily after all!  That was AWESOME that he switched the spoon sample so that the test would come out the way Emily needed it to.  And looks like Emily WASN’T blackmailing the lawyer.  He actually was an ally who believed in David Clarke as well!  Yay!  Too bad he ended up getting fired by Victoria!
• Not surprisingly, Daniel proposed to Emily…and she accepted.  One question — Couldn’t he have gotten a prettier ring?  I really wasn’t impressed with it at all.  Altho it did look a lot better from a distance rather than up close.
• Emily planting those interview tapes in Amanda’s belongings…Only to have Jack end up getting beaten up because of them…Ouch.  That was a tough pill for Emily to swallow after she found out what happened to Jack.  Poor guy…all of this has NOTHING to do with him, yet he’s the one who gets hurt THE MOST right now!
• The last couple conversations at the end of the episode were THE BEST.  First, the talk between Victoria & Daniel.  To think Victoria thought she was just going to have to admit to Daniel that she had an affair with David Clarke, and that he was Charlotte’s real father.  But then DANIEL took it upon himself to twist the story so that Victoria becomes the victim of a sexual assault?!  CRAZY!  Could NOT believe it.  That just goes to show just HOW LOYAL & DEVOTED Daniel is to his mother.  When she told him David was Charlotte’s dad, was his first instinct to think that his mother had an affair?  NO.  He obviously thinks that his mother would NEVER have an affair like that.  MY GOD.  That was an awesome scene.  And Victoria just SOAKED IT ALL IN.  When she broke down and cried into Daniel’s arms — CLASSIC.
• But the best was Emily’s conversation with Daniel at the end.  She was about to break up with him when he told her what he just found out about Charlotte & Victoria.  When Daniel said the words “forced himself on my mother”…OMG…The CHANGE in expression on Emily’s face was AWESOME.  Wow.  Screw breaking up with Daniel.  Emily is GOING AFTER Victoria now with all she’s got after finding out what Victoria did.  In Victoria’s defense, she really DIDN’T tell Daniel that David raped her.  He took what she said in that way…Victoria just didn’t dispute/correct him.   But man…Victoria better WATCH OUT now…Emily’s on the warpath!  CANNOT.  WAIT.

I just LOVE this show…!

REVENGE 1/11/12: 1.12 “Infamy”

Things are starting to heat up here…

• So we’re kind of going back to the “Victim of the Week” again huh?
• We’re starting to bring in people that are a BIT closer to the situation now…An author who actually interviewed Emily when she was young!  That’s a bit creepy.  Getting too close, imo.
• *GUEST STAR ALERT*:  The author man = George from Desperate Housewives!  He’s still got that “creepiness” factor!
• The whole Grayson Global thing is getting kinda dramatic/sticky isn’t it?  Daniel trying to get access to his trust so that he can help Victoria take over the company.  To propose to Emily so that he can get that access…Hmm…
• I know that Daniel really does love Emily, so proposing to her already really isn’t like a sacrifice for him.
• Still not loving Amanda. Jack’s too good of a guy for her.  Altho gotta say, she did a great job during that interview with the author guy.  I was impressed.  Nice to know she’s not totally against Emily and will still be there for her and help her.
• OK. THAT ENDING.  That was AWESOME.  Woohoo!  My prediction was right!  Charlotte is David’s daughter!  If that’s true, what would that change as far as Emily’s plan?

REVENGE 1/4/12: 1.10 “Duress”

• Boy, Emily & Nolan sure made up quick!  Guess Emily is realizing how much she needs Nolan…and how loyal he really has been so far.  There are a bunch of rumors swirling that Nolan & Emily are actually SIBLINGS…which actually wouldn’t be that surprising.
• The whole “Duress” thing with Victoria & the prenup was QUITE interesting.  Then to find out she actually WASN’T pregnant.  Hmm…
• I still think Victoria REALLY did love David Clarke.  Oh, and they made a couple references to the fact that Victoria most likely had NOTHING before she met Conrad.  “Marrying me was the best thing to happen to you…”  I’m hoping we’ll find more about Victoria’s earlier life.  She’s still my favorite character.
• Wait now…does that lawyer guy not recognize Emily?  She was in the house when he was there, and he walked right by her and didn’t even acknowledge.  Because Emily IS blackmailing him RIGHT?!  That’s why he approached Victoria to be her lawyer…RIGHT?
• So Daniel is going to work for his father to HELP his mother.  What a good son.  I still think Charlotte is actually David’s daughter and not Conrad’s.
• Man…Tyler is…LITERALLY PSYCHO.  Guess that explains A LOT.  But THANK GOD he’s finally GONE.  When he “sliced” Nolan…OUCH!  But how smart was Emily to plant that gun in her house, knowing he’s grab it and try to use it (while knowing she made sure it wasn’t loaded).
• So Amanda doesn’t know the whole David Clarke conspiracy?  I thought Emily told her everything, but when she was talking to Jack…she sure didn’t seem to know much about the whole David Clarke situation…

REVENGE 12/7/11: 1.10 “Loyalty”

• First thing — did you notice the new title shot for the show?  There’s an ocean now in the picture!
• Well, Tyler’s true colors have finally been revealed…to a Grayson.  He got backed into a corner by Nolan/Emily, so what is his reaction?  To blackmail Conrad of course!  Typical.  And we find out that Tyler is taking some kind of meds…NOT A SURPRISE.  The guy is PSYCHO.  No wonder.
• The funny thing about Tyler blackmailing Conrad is that he’s doing to the Graysons what Emily is TRYING to do to them.  Ha!  He’s almost taking part of the fun away from Emily’s plan.
• Hmm, so Emily used that video of Tyler/Nolan to get Daniel all riled up about Tyler.  Finally!  Can’t believe Daniel HASN’T seen thru Tyler until now.
• Oh, LOVED when Sammy barked up a storm at Amanda.  Good boy!
• Will Conrad & Victoria really get a divorce?  Hmm…and kinda weird with that lawyer guy offering his services to Victoria to go against Conrad.
• Aww…Jack is TOO SWEET with Amanda.  Just too bad it wasn’t REALLY Amanda.  I mean, the whole dinner thing…and digging up that bottle!
• Altho it was interesting how Amanda still seemed pretty loyal to Emily.  She apologized to Emily for revealing to Jack that she was Amanda.  So she still seems to want Emily’s approval.
• Seems like Emily & Nolan’s “partnership” is kaput?  Emily betraying Nolan, even after everything he’s done to help her, seems to have done her in.  She may be on her own from now on…?
• I guess Emily’s feelings for Daniel are pretty obvious…at least to Takeda.  He can tell her focus is blurred a bit…because of Daniel.  Interesting.  So even more she’s on her own…Takeda pulled out as well.
• Victoria finds out that “Amanda Clarke” is back in town!  She didn’t look too happy about that…
• So that last scene…What exactly does it mean?  The lawyer that didn’t move forward with the appeal on David Clarke’s appeal is the SAME lawyer who will be representing Victoria in her divorce from Conrad.  Does this mean that Emily blackmailed/is forcing this lawyer to get Victoria to allow him to represent her so that he can screw her over?  Make her lose everything in the divorce?  That would be my guess.  That was a nice touch/twist at the end there!

Umm, did you see the preview for the next episode?!  EVERYONE important…at a party…with TYLER…who has a GUN pointed at them?!  OMG.  Good stuff!  Altho they didn’t say when the next episode is, so I looked it up…

…Not until JANUARY! NO!!! 

REVENGE 11/23/11: 1.09 “Suspicion”

• Ooo…I’m NOT loving Amanda.  Didn’t we just KNOW she would put the moves on Jack?!  And not only that…she TOLD Jack that she’s AMANDA!  Now what is Emily going to do?!  And of COURSE once Jack found out about Amanda, now he’s HOOKED!  Argh!
• Lydia sure seems to be remembering a lot now!  Guess Conrad’s always going to have a soft spot for her.  She can count on him to be there for her.
• Charlotte & Declan…sneaky, sneaky.  Still don’t like Declan, but…right now the two of them kinda match I guess.
• How much longer is Tyler going to be around?!  He’s starting to outstay his welcome.  Nolan did a good one with him and having Ashley walk in on them!  Once again, Emily should thank Nolan…he found out that Tyler has the shredded speech of Lydia’s…
• Hmm, when they showed the flashback of Victoria & David…and how David wants her to spend more time with Amanda…Victoria said she hadn’t told Conrad & Daniel about their relationship.  She didn’t mention Charlotte. So my suspicion that Charlotte is David’s daughter could still be possible.  She obviously wasn’t around yet at the time of that flashback.
• Guest star alert — The Japanese man that Daniel was trying to get to sign with the company…and who turns out knows Emily…he’s from The Last Samurai!  Loved him!  He also was on LOST…the guy from the tomb place!  Anyways…so the Warden referred Emily to that guy…and sounds like Emily trained with him.  I’m guessing in marital arts or something.  So what are they trying to tell us?  Is Emily gonna “get rid” of Amanda now that she knows that Amanda revealed that secret to Jack…and now he’s smitten with her?  I can’t believe she would physically harm Amanda.  Although she does seem like she’s being forced into a corner right now…so who knows what she’s capable of when she’s pressured like that…

REVENGE 11/16/11: 1.08 “Treachery”

• Do you think Lydia actually remembers ANYTHING?  Right now I don’t think she does.  Although living at the Grayson house like that will definitely jog her memory a LOT quicker, I’m predicting.
• Victoria is pretty smart to have Lydia recuperate at her house.  That way, she can already start plugging Lydia’s mind with information to HER benefit.
• I was a bit confused about Nolan altering that picture.  Umm…didn’t he just make those new pics with the alterations, then Emily planted them in Lydia’s box?  But when Lydia kinda remembered the picture, Victoria went thru HER OWN boxes of pictures, so if she found the pic in there, that COULDN’T have been the altered pic right?  I don’t get it.  Oh well.

• When Tyler & Ashley were talking, Ashley actually said some pretty bad things about Emily…or at least made it known that she’s not Emily’s biggest fan.  WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN?  I thought Ashley & Emily were great friends…so to hear her talking bad about Em.  It was shocking.  I guess Tyler’s plan really is to manipulate/brainwash Ashley into turning against Emily.  Seems like it’s working.

• The appearance of the REAL Emily Thorne is going to throw a HUGE wrench into Emily’s plan.  I still don’t quite understand the relationship between the real Emily & Emily.  ‘Cause even when Emily was in jail, the Warden was warning her/teaching her how to “be friends” (use) the real Emily to her advantage.
• NO JACK!  Stay away from the real Emily!  She’s bad news and definitely NOT good enough for you!  Ugh!
• Now that the real Emily has decided NOT to leave town, how in the world is Emily going to get rid of her?!  She has to be careful with this one since she KNOWS EVERYTHING about Emily’s plan.

REVENGE 11/2/11: 1.07 “Charade”

Man, this story just keeps getting more involved…Kinda loving it!

• Wow, Emily even has connections with the Warden at her juvie facility?  That’s pretty awesome.  But I guess money really can buy you a lot huh?
• Still feeling sorry for Jack.  Altho Emily giving him the compass was very sweet.
• Did you notice when Daniel confessed his love for Emily at the end, and they kissed…They were sitting on the porch swing that Jack fixed for Emily…and when they kissed, Emily clung to/grabbed the porch swing!  Aww…
• Umm…Nolan & Tyler — WTH?!  That was just TWISTED.  But gotta say, Nolan really must want to get back at those Graysons just as much as Emily does.  To use Tyler in that way just so he could get something on him.  EWW.  Not surprising that Tyler’s gay…but is Nolan REALLY gay?  Or he just did it to get the evidence against Tyler?  Either way it was GROSS.  How could Nolan even get CLOSE to Tyler like that?!  Disgusting.
• The more we see of Victoria’s flashbacks about what they did to David Clarke, the more it seems like she REALLY DID love David.  Just don’t understand how she could screw him over like that.  I guess she felt like she had no choice…she would’ve lost EVERYTHING if she didn’t.
• And now the more and more we see of Conrad, the more of a sleaze he’s turning out to be.  Guess he’s not as weak & spineless as he came across initially.
• I was JUST reading/saying that Emily Thorne got her name from SOMEONE ELSE’S identity.  And lo and behold, we meet the REAL Emily Thorne.  But what surprised me was what she did to Frank.  Didn’t expect her to be ON Emily’s side.  Guess they must’ve really bonded in juvie huh?  I mean, that’s LOYALTY.  I guess that’s the last we’ve seen of Frank…but not before he was able to plant a LITTLE nugget into Victoria’s ear…Pretty good stuff.

Now we have to wait TWO WEEKS for the next new episode!  Emily looks like she’s going to have a LOT to deal with — The REAL Emily AND Lydia?!  Oh boy…

Can’t wait!

REVENGE 10/19/11: 1.05 “Guilt”

This episode was different from previous ones because there wasn’t a “victim of the week.”  A familiar face, Lydia, was brought back and the storyline kind of revolved around her.  Which was kinda nice because we’re a little more invested in her character since she’s been around since the first episode.

So I’m a bit confused.  Was Conrad STILL having an affair with Lydia?  ‘Cause he told Victoria that he was only doing what he was doing to protect her.  But yet he was still spending a lot of time with her.

Once again, how LUCKY was Emily that Nolan keeps butting into her plans?!  If he didn’t put that hidden camera in, he wouldn’t have accidentally seen that Lydia recognized Emily in the picture of her and Victoria!  Nolan may be a bit irritating sometimes, but boy does he sure come in handy!

How much longer is Daniel’s friend gonna be hanging around?  He’s still irritating me.  And how can Daniel not see what he’s doing?!  Come on man!  Wise up!

OMG…can’t believe what happened to Lydia.  Was Frank really going to kill her if she didn’t fall over the balcony like she did?!  I suppose so since he didn’t make ANY effort to try to save her when she fell over.

So it WASN’T Emily who set up all that information in Lydia’s apartment incriminating her?!  I’m confused.  Or did she set up all that info, but Frank messed everything up by being there and confronting Lydia?  I thought the only part Emily was orchestrating was sending Nolan to grab that fax with Emily/Amanda’s name on it.

I seriously don’t think Emily wants to KILL anyone, so I can see where in this case, plans did not go smoothly.  Up until now, all of Emily’s plans have gone the way she wanted, so the fact that this one didn’t may be a turning point in this show…?
