CMA PROMO: Brad & Carrie vs The Middle

Brad Paisley & Carrie Underwood are set to host the CMAs (Country Music Association Awards) again this year.  Here’s a cute promo for the show, where Brad & Carrie are waiting to audition for the hosting gig.  And looks like their competition for the job includes Brick & Sue from ABC’s The Middle.

THE MIDDLE: Chord’s Coming!

So what is Chord Overstreet doing now that he won’t be on Glee this season?!  He’s making a visit to ABC’s The Middle!

Per E! online, Chord “will guest star as Ralph Wilkerson, Brick Heck’s shiny new, young and idealistic fourth-grade teacher, whose innovative and involved education methods run counter to Frankie and Mike’s “more relaxed” parenting style.“

He’s shooting the episode this week, and it will air on September 28.

Although The Middle is a great show, is this better than Glee?!  I don’t think so… In any case, I guess he wants to broaden his horizons and vary his acting experience.  Glad he’s getting gigs!

Looking forward to seeing him in a different role…

More Season 2 Renewals!

Not surprisingly, the next group of shows to be renewed for a 2nd season are the ABC Comedy Wednesday shows!

Altho to be honest…I could do without Cougar Town.  It’s really not THAT great of a show.  I think it lucked out that it falls AFTER Modern Family…

THE MIDDLE 10/28/09: 1.05 “The Block Party”

• I love Brick.  He’s just so…WEIRD.   But lovable. 
• It was cute when he and his dad were able to “bond” over the mower.
• We got to see a bunch of his “self whispering” in this episode…still cracks me up!

• Axl…he acts like he doesn’t care…but he REALLY DOES!  Aww!  So sweet to give his sister his jersey after she didn’t make the team…
• Poor Sue…didn’t make yet ANOTHER team.  Loved when she was running around the house fetching balls (and even an orange!)…

THE MIDDLE: 1.04 “The Trip”

• Once again, I have to say how much I just ADORE Sue!
• Can’t believe she was able to sell $3000+ of meats!  Great job Sue!
• All that had to be done was mailing the money to the company…

• That little girl sure picked a good one in Brick to be her boyfriend…
• Brick & his whisper repeating…still can’t get enough of it!  I realized tho that I think he ONLY does it when he’s in an uncomfortable situation…

• Are there REALLY kids out there who are THAT invisible, like Sue is?!  I can’t believe that…
• When the class sang Happy Birthday to her…but couldn’t remember her name!  AWW!
• In the end, really would’ve been better if she just DIDN’T go on the trip.  Poor Frankie!  Honest mistake considering how much she has to help people left & right…

THE MIDDLE 10/14/09: 1.03 “The Floating Anniversary”

Not gonna write too much about this week…but just wanted to acknowledge it because I really like this show!  It cracks me up!

• First of all, Sue is my FAVORITE Heck child.  She is just SO dorky…SUCH a “loser” of sorts…BUT SO lovable…
• When she first saw that boy…her expression was priceless!  And how she couldn’t talk around him…HAHA!
• That SHIRT that she made of the two of their faces surrounded by a heart…and “4 Ever” on the back…HILARIOUS!  Thank god she didn’t actually wear it to school…!
• Felt so bad for her when she tried to do a “big gesture” by serenading the boy over the PA system…OMG!  Even tho everyone was laughing, thank god noone really knew who she was to laugh AT her…

• Doris the Dog.  For an animal that can’t say a word…she cracked me up just as much! 
• What a perfect type of dog to get for this role…those droopy eyes!  ROFL!

• Frankie really does too much!  Everyone needs her and she tries to be there for everyone!
• She really is quite a “wonder woman” of sorts…
• Her 15-minute break/vacation in the work restroom was pretty funny…A minipad on her eyes!  OMG.

• One of the best things about this show is that it really does have such endearing moments in every episode!
• The little “family dinner” with Bob at the end was so sweet!
• When Mike “stole” Frankie away so they could celebrate their anniversary and buy their carpet…AWW!  No matter what they’re going thru…they’re still A FAMILY that cares about each other and is there for each other. 

THE MIDDLE 10/7/09: 1.02 “The Cheerleader”

OK.  This show just cracks me up!  I was sitting watching tonight’s episode just laughing to myself.  It’s a silly show…but so entertaining!

• Gotta love how they bring in the whole “middle class” aspect all the time…can’t afford a new dryer…have to buy the “old” food from the market…

• I just love Sue.  No matter how many times she fails…she gets right back up and finds something else to try out for.
• Oh man…swimming…she really is bad. 
• Glasses…OH MY! :-)

• Could Brick REALLY count ALL those jellybeans in the car?!  If he did…he really is a genius!
• Felt bad for Frankie!  It was a great idea in theory!  Why does everything always have to “screw up?!”

• The comedy is not the only reason I’m loving this show…it’s really got the family aspect down.  So far every episode they always have a little “family moment” somewhere in there…even with all the ridiculous and silly antics, they are in it together as a family!  Aww…

THE MIDDLE 9/30/09: 1.01 “Pilot”

And yet here’s another show that I was quite interested in checking out…mainly because of all the commercials they had shown to promote it.  Plus I like Patricia Heaton (Everybody Loves Raymond).  I was happy I did…I liked it!  It’s a bit of a quirky comedy, but it’s quite entertaining, I must say:

SUE:

• You gotta love Sue…she’s just SO DORKY, but also just SO LOVABLE.
• She just wants to be PART of something!  The show choir was supposed to be it…!  Too bad she got a BIT distracted by her family and ended up ruining the entire performance!

BRICK:

• My favorite kid has GOT to be Brick.  He is SOMETHING ELSE…
• Like Frankie said on the show…”Give your kid a ‘cool’ name in the hopes he’ll turn out cool.  Umm…not so much.” :-p
• Brick is just SOOOO….WEIRD.  Best way to describe it.   But it’s a GOOD, FUNNY weird.  And he’s pretty cute.  His super high-pitched voice adds to his “cuteness.”  He seems like he’s a freak, but I actually think maybe he’s just too smart for his own good, and that comes across as weird.  Hard to say yet tho, just from one episode…He’s really entertaining to watch tho!
• “Sorry…”  “SORRY…”

FRANKIE:

• That Wonder Woman costume!  Hilarious!  What a good mom…even if it was on the wrong day!
• All she wanted to do was sell ONE measly car…and she ends up getting stranded! 
• The Heck family is definitely “odd” to say the least…but all in all they’re still just a FAMILY, and I love that part of it.  Very cute.

If you want another “just fun” comedy, check this one out!  I cracked up and really enjoyed it!  Worth watching!  It’s right before Modern Family, so it’s an “easy watch.”
