ONE WORD — HOT

Umm…talk about sexy!  Especially the one of Nina & Ian!  Geez!  It’s kind of funny because these covers sure make it look like the show is MUCH sexier than it really is when you’re watching it.   I mean, don’t get me wrong, all of them are beautiful, even on the show…They just don’t focus on the sex like these covers do!

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES 10/13/11: 3.05 “The Reckoning”

We knew coming back to Mystic Falls, Klaus would find out about Elena being alive VERY QUICKLY.  And sure enough…

So many things going on in this episode!  But I loved that EVERYONE (except Alaric) was in it!

• Matt DROWNING HIMSELF = CRAZY! That was so risky…and couldn’t he have WAITED to do it until Bonnie got a LITTLE CLOSER.  It was like she was running from the other side of campus or something!  Geez!  But I guess it paid off, ’cause he saw Vicki.
• I guess now it makes a little more sense WHY Jeremy seeing dead people (or his ex-girlfriends anyway) is important.  Thanks to Anna, they now know who Michael is.
• The big reveal:  The doppleganger doesn’t need to DIE to make a hybrid…you NEED the doppleganger’s blood to make a hybrid.  Wow.  Nice twist.
• Tyler is a hybrid now!  He was just barely getting used to being a werewolf, but now he has to deal with being a vampire as well!  Now he and Caroline aren’t so different anymore!  The two of them as a couple, btw = CUTE
• Really hard to like Stefan anymore, isn’t it?  What was confusing to me was that after Klaus found out that he NEEDS Elena alive, you would think Stefan would’ve just gone back to Elena.  But instead he pledged his allegiance to Klaus again.  Why?  I thought he was only helping Klaus in order to protect Elena.  Now that Klaus compelled Stefan, he has NO EMOTION towards Elena at all and is acting like an a**.  Ugh.  Wonder how long this is going to last…
• Damon and Elena are pretty cute together.  Actually DAMON is really cute.  He’s SO LOYAL and protective of Elena.  It’s really sweet.  And when it has to do with Elena, you KNOW he means every word he says.  Thank goodness Elena has Damon.  Especially right now.  You KNOW something’s GOTTA happen between these two soon…

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES 10/6/11: 3.04 “Disturbing Behavior”

• I do like that they’re bringing Katherine more into the mix again.  I did kind of miss her.  And Stefan should be THANKING GOD for her…He would NOT have survived the torture from that witch otherwise!
• Now we have to figure out…WHO IS MICHAEL?  That’s supposedly the guy that Klaus & Rebecca were running away from all those years ago.  And I was surprised that Rebecca was that loyal to Klaus.  I thought Stefan DID have a hold on to her.  But I guess he’s not a good liar…at least not to an original vampire like her.
• Bonnie’s back!  Yay!  I was surprised that Jeremy told Bonnie about Anna & Vicki so quickly.  I miss Anna!  I felt so bad for her when Jeremy “pushed her out” and she was “all alone.”  I still don’t understand WHY Anna is around.  But there’s gotta be a bigger reason.
• Damon and killing Alaric.  What was that…the 2nd time already?!  Geez guy.  Alaric being on the Council tho…that’s a good idea.
• Wow, that fight between Damon & Caroline was something.  Nice to know that Caroline still has a heart…to save her father from Damon like that.  I totally understand her dad’s view of her tho…that she’ll never be the same since she’s a vampire.  Kinda sad.  Altho I am loving that Caroline’s mom is so “on her side” right now.  And Mrs. Lockwood too.
• Oh boy…Stefan back in Mystic Falls.  But that also means that KLAUS is back in Mystic Falls as well.  Not looking good for Elena…

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES 9/29/11: 3.03 “The End of the Affair”

I do tend to enjoy the episodes where they flashback and give you more info on the history of these characters…

• So Klaus and Stefan actually knew each other long ago…Interesting.  And now we find out that Klaus had a sister too…Rebecca.  And Rebecca was involved with Stefan.  Hmm.  Having Stefan remember all this kinda has “reeled Stefan in” hasn’t it?  Especially him remembering the relationship he had with Rebecca will keep Stefan around…at least for now.  Klaus is a pretty smart guy.
• Poor Caroline…having to get tortured by her own father!  I understand why her father did what he did…he was trying to NOT have to kill her by making her try to avoid the urge/need for blood.  But HELLO.  She’s a VAMPIRE.  She NEEDS the blood.  That’s not gonna change.
• Totally shipping Tyler & Caroline now.  They are very cute together.  Plus it’s a whole Rome & Juliet thing with the two of them.  Not to mention a vampire & a werewolf getting together is somehow kinda cool.
• I loved the stuff with Caroline and her mom.  When you think how Caroline and her mom’s relationship used to be…and now her mom saved her from her dad.  Boy have they come a long way!  It’s very sweet actually.
• The scene with Elena & Stefan was a bit tough.  Altho Stefan keeps pushing Elena away, we all know better.  I mean, just the scene with Elena, Stefan & Klaus and the closet…that right there shows that Stefan’s not TOTALLY FAR GONE yet.  And how lucky was Elena that Klaus didn’t enter the closet first?!  Man.  That was a close call.

From the preview, looks like Bonnie’s back next week!  About time!

NINA DOBREV: Emmy Awards 2011 Red Carpet

Besides Lea Michele and Kate Winslet (both who were also wearing red ), my other favorite had to be The Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev.  She looked GORGEOUS…the dress was beautiful…and I think she made a real impression on the red carpet this year (she’s not as well known since TVD is on a cable channel vs a major network)!

Nina & Ian didn’t walk the red carpet together, but I guess they found each other at some point to take some pictures together.  Nina was interviewed by E! where they asked her about their relationship…and she was pretty coy and never quite confirmed it.  But I’m guessing it IS TRUE.

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES 9/15/11: 3.02 “The Birthday”

Lemme just say that tonight’s season premiere was probably the worst one they’ve had in this show’s history…

The episode moved so SLOWLY, which is very unusual for this show.  If it wasn’t for the END, I would’ve written off this episode completely!  Just some thoughts:

• Don’t really love seeing Stefan as this killer.  But at least we finally got to see his vulnerability shine thru at the end when he called Elena.  The Stefan we all know and love is STILL THERE inside…Thank goodness!
• I’m wondering exactly WHERE the whole storyline of Jeremy seeing dead people is going.  Right now it’s not doing much for me.  Yes he sees Vicki and Anna.  WE GET THAT.  But WHY?  And why only THEM?
• The introduction of the new werewolf (and now soon to be hybrid) didn’t do much yet either.  I guess that was just supposed to give us a taste of what’s to come…Hopefully.
• You just KNEW Stefan was gonna have to use Damon’s “girl toy” to get a message across to Damon.  Poor girl.  Oh well.
• Elena barely had a part in this episode.
• Man, that didn’t take long for Caroline & Tyler to hook up.  Geez!
• Altho the episode as a whole was pretty EH, I will give it to them…the end was pretty good!  WTH?!  How does Tyler’s mom know about Caroline?  Or does she?  She must since Caroline’s purse seemed like it was laced with vervain.  Hmm.  That was a bit of a shocker when she shot Caroline.  At least things were left up in the air…Helps us anticipate next week!

Glad this show is back, but I hope the storyline picks up next week!
