OSCARS 2012: Favorite Looks + *POLL*

Just wanted to post my favorite looks of the Academy Awards red carpet this year…

Milla Jovovich

  • Milla’s dress just SPARKLES!  Love the white…and the one shoulder.  So pretty!

Jessica Chastain ("The Help")

  • This dress is obviously a bit of a risk for Jessica…but I love the gold on the black.  And her hair looks great.

Rose Byrne ("Bridesmaids")

  • Rose’s look is a bit severe, but I love it.  Her hair matches perfectly with the dress, and her body fits in this dress really well.

Viola Davis ("The Help")

  • The best thing about this dress is the COLOR.  COLOR COLOR COLOR.  The green on Viola’s skin tone is AWESOME.  And love her hair!  We never get to see it like that!

Missi Pyle ("The Artist")

  • Again, it’s all about COLOR COLOR COLOR.  It’s AMAZING and looks perfect on Missi.  I saw her interviewed on the red carpet, and she said that his dress is an ECO dress.  Totally sustainable.  Pretty cool huh?  I LOVE it.

Angelina Jolie

  •  This is probably one of my favorite looks of Angelina.  Usually she wears black, but it looks more severe.  This one actually looks more fun and “light” (even tho it’s black :-P ).  Love the slit.  And her hair and makeup are PERFECT.  Awesome.

ADELE: Grammy Awards 2012

The Belle of the Ball tonight at the Grammy Awards was without a doubt ADELE!

First of all, she looked GORGEOUS on the red carpet:

Then she sounded quite awesome during her much-anticipated performance — her first live performance since her throat surgery last year — singing her now award-winning single Rolling in the Deep!

And finally she won EVERY SINGLE AWARD she was nominated for, including the highly coveted ALBUM OF THE YEAR!

Album of the Year – Adele, 21

Record of the Year – Adele, “Rolling in the Deep”

Song of the Year – Adele, “Rolling in the Deep”

Best Pop Solo Performance – Adele, “Someone Like You”

Best Pop Vocal Album – Adele, 21

Best Short Form Music Video – Adele, “Rolling in the Deep”

But seriously…it shouldn’t have happened ANY OTHER WAY.  She is SO DESERVING.  That album, 21, is my favorite album of 2011…It’s just AMAZING.

Woohoo!

CARRIE UNDERWOOD: Grammy Awards 2012

Carrie Underwood attended (and performed at) the Grammy Awards tonight.

She sang a duet with Tony Bennett, It Had To Be You, which is from Tony’s album, Duets II:

GLEE: Class of…2012?

A report was released yesterday where creator Ryan Murphy talks about how long the show can go on…

Basically, he said that the cast will most likely graduate and be replaced with new cast members in 2012!

“Every year we’re going to populate a new group. There’s nothing more depressing than a high schooler with a bald spot. I think you have to be true to the fact that here is a group of people who come and go in these teachers’ lives – they graduate and they’re gone. When some of them finish their run at high school it will be very teary episodes. For me it will be particularly tough but a new crop (of actors) will come in. I was concerned about that (whether to have characters graduate and leave the show) because those kids caught on so quickly – but I think one of the things I’m very happy we’ve been able to do this years is we’ve brought in new characters. I think if you can keep regenerating – and I didn’t think we could – I didn’t know if people would want those characters (like Sam) but they do.”

HOW SAD AM I?!  I mean…I KNOW it’s not realistic that the kids stick around at McKinley forever…and Cory Monteith (Finn) and Mark Salling (Puck) are ALREADY 28 years old…so how long could they really pull off playing high school kids?  BUT…to REPLACE the cast?!  I don’t know if I can watch the show if that happens.  And it’s not like they could really do it GRADUALLY, as the kids are all the same age/grade, aren’t they?!  So it would probably be a one shot deal – ALL AT ONCE!

Bringing in new characters like Sam & Blaine are fine and we embrace them…but that’s because it’s only like a couple characters…plus they’re not REPLACING with them, they’re just ADDING.  That’s a BIG difference.  I stopped watching Beverly Hills, 90210 and Melrose Place back in the day once they started replacing all the original cast members.  For Glee I’m pretty sure I would feel it THAT MUCH MORE because of the musical/singing aspect.  How can you possibly bring in someone better than Lea Michele?! :P

I guess I’ll have to really SOAK IN the show while I can… :(
