Tonight was the annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards. Glee was nominated for Cast in a TV Series, and as usual, the whole cast attended.
Here are the guys:
With Glee being nominated for TV Comedy Series this year again, pretty much the entire cast was in attendance.
We’ll start with the guys…
I know with guys, it’s hard to really judge since they basically all look the same. Glad this year the guys all stayed pretty classic overall. That’s the best look for guys…classic & clean.
Lea & Chris were guests on Andy Cohen’s show Watch What Happens Live. They basically discussed the Real Housewives shows (it’s scary how much of a fan Lea is of all those Housewives…she knows WAY too much about them
) as well as Glee. They even revealed an exclusive new tidbit about an upcoming guest star…
It was fun just to see Lea & Chris getting to just be themselves and just “talk story.” Lea is such a fan of all those Bravo reality shows…it’s pretty funny. And Chris has such a sense of humor. You can tell the two of them are very good friends.
Here’s their appearance in three parts. It’s a bit long, but if you’re a fan of either of them, it’s worth watching.
Enjoy!
And here’s the after-show where they took questions from callers…still just as entertaining.
After last season’s Christmas episode was actually pretty sad, this season we had a much lighter and happier episode!

The Glee guys on the Emmy red carpet:
Pretty much the entire cast of Glee was at the premiere of their 3D movie.
Yay! More polls! We will start with the guys:
Umm…did Cory & Mark get the same memo? What’s with the plaid suits?
Where was Matthew Morrison?
GLEE KIDS HOORAY!
Glee garnered a bunch (12 to be exact) of Emmy nominations this year, including:
Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series
“Glee,” Chris Colfer as Kurt Hummel
Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series
“Glee,” Jane Lynch as Sue Sylvester
Outstanding Guest Actress In A Comedy Series
“Glee,” Kristin Chenoweth as April Rhodes
“Glee,” Dot-Marie Jones as Coach Beiste
“Glee,” Gwyneth Paltrow as Holly Holliday
Outstanding Comedy Series
“Glee”
Hmm…Lea Michele got the snub this year! She didn’t have as much of a part in this second season, but I still think she should’ve gotten a nomination. But that’s just me.
Congrats to all the nominees! Will definitely be watching come September…
You have NO IDEA (altho you kinda do) how much it PAINS me to have to post this…
It has just been announced (Ryan Murphy has announced it) that Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith will NOT be returning for Season 4 of Glee!
Umm…HOW SAD AM I?!
Glee creator Ryan Murphy was interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter and said that the three stars are “not going to be back at all for Season 4,” Murphy said. “You can keep them on the show for six years and people will criticize you for not being realistic, or you can be really true to life and say when they started the show they were very clearly sophomores and they should graduate at the end of their senior year.”
“We made that decision and I involved Chris and Lea and they thought that was a good idea,” Murphy told THR. “They both trust the writing and trust me and felt that it would be great to have an open and closed experience for them to go out while they were on top.”
As for what will happen this upcoming season, Murphy said planning for the future will serve as a major theme this coming season. “I’m much more interested in Lea’s character — not so much on her relationship with Finn, but more on what her dreams are beyond high school and how she plans on getting them.”
Altho he specifically named them, it seems like they won’t be the only ones… “more characters are leaving than are staying“ and left an open question as to who else will say goodbye to New Directions for good.
Exactly who’s in and who’s out for Season 4 will be revealed in the third season premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 20.
Although I knew this day would come, it’s still so hard to actually hear FOR SURE that they (ESPECIALLY LEA) won’t be back after this next season. Seriously don’t know how I can continue watching it without them.
It’s a SAD DAY…
Last episode of Season 2.
That came around fast…
Love the way they started the episode. I made it! She definitely did…right smack dab in the middle of Times Square NYC!
Umm…WHO GOES to NYC for Nationals and THEN tries to write original songs?! WTH?!
Times Square…Central Park…Washington Square Park…Lincoln Center. *sigh* I miss NY (was just there in April!)!
Great location scenes!
Can you say PROMOTION?! How awesome that Matthew Morrison got to sing one of HIS OWN songs (Still Got Tonight from his newly released self-titled album) on the show?!
Umm, the Finchel date was a bit silly. Rachel got all dressed up for a “work date”?! Come on. Pretty cute tho…meeting on the Bow Bridge in Central Park…Finn giving her flowers. And this ISN’T A DATE?!
Patti Lupone cameo = Awesome. Especially since they’ve used her name in the show MANY times. I mean, Rachel even thought she could be Patti Lupone’s daughter at one point! Very cool.
Quite cute with the boys singing Bella Notte (can you say Lady & the Tramp?) in the background of Finchel’s walk. I have to say I’m glad Rachel just didn’t give in and kiss Finn at that moment tho. Geez…gotta at LEAST make the guy work a little for it, considering what a jerk he was at one point!
Although totally unrealistic (financially) for two high school students to be dressed up like that, gotta say I LOVED what Chris & Lea wore to “breakfast at Tiffany’s.” So stylish and classy. They looked so glam!
Words cannot describe how ELATED I was that Lea & Chris sang For Good. It was AMAZING! Lea especially did a little bit extra with her part in the song, which was perfection! And wouldn’t have it any other way that she sing it with Kurt/Chris! For Good is my #2 song from Wicked behind Defying Gravity!. LOVE LOVE LOVED it! And the song is very fitting for Kurt & Rachel’s relationship/friendship.
Not to mention the fact that they got to perform it on the ACTUAL Wicked stage in NYC’s Gershwin Theatre!!! That must’ve been SO SURREAL for both Lea & Chris! Talk about a dream come true! I was JUST in that theatre not long ago…I saw Broadway’s Wicked right in that theatre!
I guess I felt a LITTLE bad for Quinn when she was throwing her little tantrum. I mainly loved that scene because it was great to see the three girls together like that…Santana, Quinn & Brittany. They don’t have many scenes together now that they aren’t Cheerios anymore.
I suppose the Sunshine/Rachel relationship had to come full circle. YES Rachel DID send Sunshine to a crack house…but the way she handled herself here made up for that FOR SURE. She was so classy about it, knowing that Sunshine is a HUGE threat towards New Directions winning/placing at Nationals.
But Rachel really did give Sunshine to confidence to perform…Don’t think she would’ve been able to go out there if Rachel wasn’t in the stand’s cheering her on. Even tho Rachel is SO DETERMINED to win and be a star, she really does have a HEART…that’s one of the things I love about her.
Wonder if that was the last we’ll see of Sunshine? Will Charice be back next season? I’m assuming Sunshine WASN’T a senior yet…and Charice is definitely popular enough where they could bring her back.
Now…that big FINCHEL KISS. What do we all think about that?! Although I KNOW all the Finchel fans were just DYING seeing that…since it’s been a long time coming…I personally thought it was a bit much. Especially during a live COMPETITION PERFORMANCE. But I guess at least the kiss was appropriately linked the words of the song.
Do you think that kiss really was THE REASON they didn’t place in the Top 10?
What did everyone thing of the original songs at Nationals? I thought they were pretty good…not as good as the Regionals ones, but good. Who knows…maybe the quality of these songs, since not quite AS good as Regionals, is ANOTHER reason they lost?
Sam & Mercedes? KINDA CUTE. I guess the whole prom dance thing WASN’T Sam just being nice. I’m happy for Mercedes! Hopefully this relationship will last! At least for a while anyway.
Although I’m STILL not quite on the Finchel bandwagon yet, I will admit they are pretty cute together. I definitely like Rachel with Finn over Jessie, that’s for sure. Let’s hope Finn doesn’t become a DOOFUS again and screw it all up. Sorry Finchel fans, but I’m figuring they can’t keep these two together forever. It’ll become boring. Something’s GOTTA happen at some point. But I’m sure for now they’ll be rock solid again. After all…they are THE couple of this show. We all know that.
12th place never felt so good! We all kinda figured they’d HAVE to lose Nationals this year. Then they’ll have something to strive for next season!
Sad the season has come to an end. For a finale, didn’t really think this episode was THAT great. Other than all the NY stuff, which I LOVED, it was just okay. They didn’t even really leave anything up in the air for next season. Guess they’ll have to come back with a BANG in Season 3!
Can’t wait! Although I’ll HAVE to wait…and quite a while too.

Here’s a reel of some bloopers from Glee cast interviews. Very cute.
Enjoy!
