THE BACHELOR: Michelle Interview (People)

Michelle definitely was this season’s “villain,” so I’m sure people are wondering what her thoughts are now that she’s been booted off the show.  People magazine interviewed her about her thoughts on the show, Brad and her boot.

Here’s just some highlights of the interview:

Did you anticipate that you’d become this season’s villain?
I never in a million years expected to be the villain. I was actually really surprised and shocked by it in the beginning. I’m an easy target, [because] I’m upfront and honest. It has been hard to see one very small side of me being the only side portrayed. But that’s what you get for signing up for a reality TV show.

What about the caught-on-camera mean remarks?
I have a very sarcastic, dry sense of humor. That can come off as very intense. When you just get a small, chopped-up version of me being sarcastic, it comes across the wrong way.

Chantal seemed to be your biggest enemy.
I don’t have anything against her. She’s a beautiful, smart woman. It’s unfortunate everyone only got to see the catty side. Chantal was hard to get to know. She keeps her distance from women. But I left feeling that if I ever saw her again, I’d give her the biggest hug. I still don’t think she’s right for Brad.

Who is?
Emily. He needs someone soft-spoken and feminine. She’s just a Southern belle, ladylike and sweet. Emily will be the one who ends up with him, if that’s what she wants. It’ll be more about her choosing him.

Did you have a clue that night that you wouldn’t get a rose?
Something was off … After our photo shoot and time to talk at the pool, something felt different. His kisses weren’t as passionate or emotional. I could tell his heart was with someone else. In my opinion, that’s when he started falling in love with Emily.

Why not talk to him on the way to the limo or once you were inside?
Brad and I did have a personal, positive conversation that gave me closure and helped me feel confident in his decision. They didn’t show it. I had a lot to say in the limo as well … Me laying down was a result of being car sick from talking to the camera while driving down a bumpy road with lights in my face. I was going to throw up.

PEOPLE: 10 Best Dressed of 2010

People magazine did a list of the 10 Best Dressed celebrities of 2010.  Guess who made the cut?!

LEA MICHELE!

MICHELE: THE IT GIRL
Only a Broadway star could make an entrance like this! With Glee just starting its second season, breakout star Lea Michele is hitting all the right notes with her red carpet choices, including glamorous gowns from Zac Posen and Malandrino.

Not surprising.  I’ve mentioned (and blogged about) it MANY times.  Lea really does have a GREAT sense of style.  I pretty much always like what she wears.  It’s so chic and stylish.  Only ONCE in a great while do I NOT like what she’s wearing/her look.

Very well-deserved honor! :)

COVER GIRL: Kate Gosselin on People

People magazine must have some kind of agreement with Kate or something…they are her “exclusive” magazine for stories and interviews.

Kate will be the cover girl for the upcoming issue, which hits stands this Friday:

Kate’s showing off her toned body and revealing what she did to get it.  I do have to say she looks really good.  YES, her belly button is still WAY TOO HIGH…but we’ll blame that on the plastic surgery for her tummy tuck.  Other than that, her arms look really toned.  She must really be working hard for it.

“This is the most fit I’ve ever been”—mostly due to running (not plastic surgery) and without the help of a personal trainer.

Kate also spills diet secrets, like she’s “majorly addicted to almonds” and snacks on “whole-grain kamut cakes…smeared with a little peanut butter.

People: Cover Story with Kate Gosselin

The July 6th issue of People magazine once again had Kate Gosselin on the cover…This time talking about the divorce:

Just some highlights from the interview, which I thought was REALLY interesting and a good article:

  • According to the article, BOTH Jon & Kate filed for divorce on that same day, June 22.
  • The reason why she ended up getting a lawyer & filing for divorce:  “He does not want to be married to me anymore.  No questions asked, HE went and hired a lawyer and said, ‘You’d better get one.’”  So she did.  She said she “…never would’ve done it, but did it because he told me to do it.”
  • “I’ve only not been here while I was working, and Jon tried to compare that and make it seem like when he was away, it was the same as when I was away, which doesn’t add up…”
  • “On a good day I feel relief.  On a bad day I feel failure.”
  • “I remember just looking at him and thinking, ‘I wouldn’t choose to marry that exact person right now…so why am I here?  Our goals don’t match up anymore, our dreams don’t match up, our ideas don’t match up.”
  • On the papparazzi:  “They follow me more than they follow him.”  To Jon:  “You’re fine on a daily basis because they’re with me!”
  • The effect of the divorce on the kids:  “…I know that my kids will come out of this, to a degree, with some sort of dysfunction.  I’m not stupid.”
  • Moving on?:   “I haven’t thought the ‘single mom’ thought.”  “I haven’t taken off my ring…I’m not taking it off.  I’m not ready.”
  • “This is a situation that absolutely would have happened whether the cameras were here or not…I don’t want people thinking we traded our marriage for fame.  Ever.  It’s not a fair assumption.”
  • “I think that for the past 10 years, I was operating under the belief that marriage is forever.  So I exhausted myself trying to do everything and make everything okay, when maybe it just couldn’t.”

All excerpts/quotes are from the People article HERE.

Now…let the “war of the words” begin…:-p  Ha!
