GLEE PROMO: 3.18 “Choke”

Here’s the preview for next week’s episode, entitled Choke.

NYADA auditions!  Uh oh…Could Rachel really CHOKE on her audition?!  Say it isn’t so!

GLEE 1/31/12: 1.11 “Michael”

The all-anticipated Michael Jackson episode is here!

  • Ah…so THAT’S how they wrote Blaine out of the storyline for a while so that Darren Criss could go to Broadway to do How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.  Stung by a slushie!  Man, when Sebastian hit him and Blaine went down…Man.  Never saw someone get so injured and be in so much pain from a slushie!  But I guess it WASN’T just a slushie.  Crazy.  That was a bit extreme actually.  Oh, and WTH was that number performed?  Such a dark & desolate parking garage!  Creepy!
  • Did like how they all got to dress up like MJ in the Wanna Be Startin Somethin number tho.  Very cool.
  • The MJ storyline stuff in this one was a bit cheesy and over the top at times.  But I guess it would be hard to come up with some meaning for them to do so many MJ songs.
  • Happy for Kevin that he got to get out of the wheelchair AND show his dance moves in Scream!  Besides Harry, Kevin is probably the best dance in the cast, so it was nice he got to show it off once again.  And boy did they make that number look JUST like the original Michael/Janet music video!  Awesome!
  • I do like those Rachel/Quinn touching scenes.  Like Rachel says, Quinn will be totally upfront and honest with her, and Rachel does need to hear that stuff.  Otherwise she’ll be too blinded when it comes to Finn.  And wow…Yale?!  Good job Quinn!  So you kinda have to assume that Quinn WON’T be returning next season right?!  How can she, unless she decides not to go to Yale…which seems dumb since they’re making such a big deal about how she made it into that school!
  • Gotta say that I listened to Dianna’s Never Can Say Goodbye before watching the performance in the episode, and it was quite boring.  Dianna always tends to get the more boring numbers when she does solos.  BUT watching it in the episode…It was great!  Dianna did a great job, and LOVED how they had the three guys in it with her!  So cute!  Great number!
  • When Finn was trying to explain to Rachel WHY he wants to get married/engaged NOW versus later was kinda sad.  It really seems like he feels that she is the ONLY thing he has going for him…And if she’s really going to go to NYC, he NEEDS to have that commitment with her in order to keep her.  Which, while sad, is kinda true.  Finn says he’s going to go to NYC with Rachel…But I think we all know that once she’s up there, he won’t be able to “keep” her.  And I’m glad she didn’t just jump in and say yes.  At least she’s thinking about things.  ‘Cause if we were in Season 1 and Finn proposed, how much do you wanna bet she would’ve just jumped into his arms and said yes immediately?!
  • Pretty cute how Santana is so bonded with Kurt now.  How she wants to help to get back at The Warblers (mainly Sebastian) for what they did to Blaine.  Look how far they (Santana) has come!  Who would’ve thought…
  • OK.  Smooth Criminal was QUITE the number.  Probably my favorite one…but mainly because of those DUELING CELLOS.  That was genius to do that.  Awesome.  Naya & Grant Gust (Sebastian) did a great job too ;)   Loved the arrangement of that song.  Hard to mess with Michael, but this arrangement almost made it seem like its own song.
  • Yay!  Kurt is a finalist for NYADA!  So happy for him!  So cute too how Burt came to school JUST to bring it to him…and the moment with the two of them when Kurt found out was so touching. :)
  • When Kurt told her he was a finalist for NYADA, but Rachel still hadn’t gotten a letter…that scene was amazing.  Lea Michele was FLAWLESS.  TOTALLY felt for Rachel.  You know how much she wanted that NYADA acceptance, and to hear Kurt got one just broke her. :(   Such a great scene.
  • OK, when Finn sang I Just Can’t Stop Loving You to (and with) Rachel, you just KNEW that song…plus still not hearing back from NYADA…would make Rachel say YES to Finn’s proposal.  Which again is kinda sad, because she basically was “falling back” on her boyfriend because her real dream wasn’t happening. :(   Don’t get me wrong, I KNOW she loves Finn…but really we all know that NOTHING can compete with her real dream of making it and becoming a star!
  • Black or White always was…and still is…one of my favorite MJ songs!  I loved their arrangement…the mixture of all the different singers/solos…and the fact that they ended up mixing The Warblers in with New Directions.  Yay!  OMG…and how they did the whole morphing thing like they do in the music video!  LOVE!
  • WOOHOO!  Rachel is a finalist too!  To be realistic, I’m amazed she made it considering her suspension supposedly showed up on her record for her application. :-P   SO HAPPY for her!  But LOVED that last moment when Kurt asked her if she told Finn.  Umm.  OOPS.  You could tell Finn hadn’t even CROSSED HER MIND.  AND SO IT BEGINS… ;)

Next week, all I have are two words — RICKY. MARTIN.  ‘Nuff said. Should be a fun one! :)

GLEE 1/17/12: 3.10 “Yes/No”

So great to have the show back!

  • Cute way to start off the episode!  Even cuter how they tried to recreate the whole Grease number!  To be honest, I really wish it was Rachel & Finn singing Summer Nights, but Sam & Mercedes did a great job.  Can’t believe Mercedes hasn’t dumped Shane yet!  Just get back together with Sam already…You KNOW you want to!
  • Poor Finn.  Having to find out that his dad wasn’t at ALL the hero he thought he was.  Totally shattered his image of him.  But hopefully that convinced him NOT to join the Army.  I don’t think that decision was well-thought out.
  • Beiste & Cooter…MARRIED?!  OMG!  Kinda wished they spent more time on that storyline tho.  Beiste just kinda blurted it out and they just glossed over it.  But glad that Beiste found someone.
  • I was getting pretty worried about Will & his decision to propose to Emma.  Especially after he talked to her parents.  So sad that her OWN PARENTS basically are telling Will to stay away from her and not get “stuck” with all her “baggage.” :(   If anything, that probably CONVINCED Will TO propose.  Oh, and cute how Will asks Finn to be his best man!
  • Aww…Becky liked Artie!  How sweet!  And OMG…*GUEST START ALERT* — Dame Helen Mirren as the voice of Becky!  HOW AWESOME IS THAT?! :)   Loved it!  It was cute how Artie actually ENJOYED his time with Becky at Breadstix…but poor thing.  The Glee Club was right…He shouldn’t “string her along” even IF he did like her.  We all know he didn’t LIKE her like that.  Glad he finally told her.  Oh, and how cute was Sue with Becky? :)
  • Bunch of musical numbers in this episode!  Great songs this week!
  • Sam joining synchronized swimming was HILARIOUS!  LOVED Roz Washington (great job, Nene Leakes!).  All those jokes about his lips and nipples! :)
  • Moves Like Jagger was cool.  Always great to see Matthew Morrison get to perform WITH the others.
  • Without You was great.  Loved the arrangement!  I think this was the FIRST Rachel solo of Season 3 too!  Hard to believe considering this is already Episode 10!  Lea’s voice sounded amazing in it…Tough song too…She has to jump from low to high a LOT!  Not surprisingly, love it more than the Usher version. ;)

  • We Found Love was QUITE the production!  So cute tho!  Synchronized swimming…Who would’ve thought?!  And Will WALKED ON WATER!  That was pretty cool!  Definitely a memorable proposal!  Thank goodness Emma said Yes!  Yay!  They’re engaged!
  • OK, now that ending.  I had read that it was a BIG SHOCKER.  Umm…Honestly?  NOT SO MUCH.  Kinda could tell Finn was going to propose.  But realistically…they’re only SENIORS in high school!  REALLY?!  I think that’s a bit much.  But it was a good end.  Definitely a cliffhanger.  I kinda hope Rachel doesn’t say yes, to be honest.  Considering what Rachel wants to do with her life…being engaged/tied to Finn is going to stop her from reaching for her dreams a bit.  And I don’t think Finn will fit into her dream of being a star.  But we’ll see.

GLEE 12/6/11: 3.08 “Hold On To Sixteen”

It’s that time again…SECTIONALS!

  • Yay!  Sam is back!  Umm…WHITE CHOCOLATE?!  That was AWESOME! :)   But isn’t he underage?  I’m surprised he can do that sort of work…
  • I really did miss Sam.  He’s so cute! :)   And I’m glad he’s going after Mercedes again.  She needs to get away from Shane…he makes her do things she wouldn’t normall do — like leave New Directions!
  • Man, that Red Solo Cup song was so silly!  It was just as bad…if not worse than My Cup or My Headband…and this song is an ACTUAL song (by Toby Keith)!
  • I love that line that Sam quoted to Quinn — “Hold On To Sixteen”…very fitting.
  • Glad to see Blaine & Finn come to an understanding/truce.  At least Finn was mature enough to admit he was jealous of Blaine…Altho really, who wouldn’t be?!  Blaine’s pretty PERFECT when it comes to performing.
  • That Sebastian…what a guy.  Altho he’s such an ass and so forward, gotta say he’s pretty entertaining to watch.  And Blaine seems to like him enough.

I have to say that although the Troubletones were good (altho it was a bit odd with ONLY girls…kinda need the guys ;) ), as usual…and the two songs mashed up were a great choice…

…you CAN’T beat a JACKSON medley.  I mean…Man In The Mirror?!  Come on.  Can’t get more inspirational/touching than that!

  • With Rachel banned from performing in Sectionals…and with the amount of ladies in New Directions SO limited…YAY TINA!  She FINALLY got some solos!  A big solo in ABC!  Nice!  Happy for her!
  • I LOVED the Man In The Mirror number.  Spotlighting ALL the main guys (with the exception of Kurt) was AMAZING!  I was actually kinda tearing up watching it.  It was TOO CUTE.
  • Yay for New Directions!  They deserved the win!  Woohoo!
  • Yay for Mike!  His dad FINALLY came around!  Pretty gutsy of Tina to go to Mr. Chang and try to plead with him on Mike’s behalf.  Glad he listened!  Now where’s Mike’s mom?! :)
  • Glad that Quinn listened to Rachel and did NOT out Shelby.  She FINALLY seems to be on track…Yale?!  Awesome.
  • SO GLAD that Rachel’s suspension is OVER!  Group performances are just NOT the same without her!
  • That last number, We Are Young, was the PERFECT choice for them to close the episode!  And ALL of New Directions is back together!  Once again, kinda teared up. :)   It was so nice to see them all together again looking so happy and being ONE GROUP!  Yay!

GLEE SNEAK PEEK: 2.20 “Prom Queen” – “Rolling In The Deep”

Here’s a sneak peek of the performance by Rachel & Jesse of Adele’s Rolling in the Deep.  Gotta say, this version is pretty interesting…never would’ve thought about acapella like this. :)  Only Lea Michele & Jonathan Groff could really pull off a version like this. ;)

Are we happy to have Jesse back?

GLEE SNEAK PEEK: 2.19 “Rumors” *SPOILER*

Don’t watch if you don’t want to see the whole number…but here’s Rachel performing “Go Your Own Way” from next week’s episode…

Enjoy!

GLEE RUMOR: New Love Interest for Rachel? + *POLL*

According to TV Line, there’s a rumor that Rachel will be “hooking up” with someone…OTHER than Finn (which I am TOTALLY fine with ;) ) or Puck (Aww…NO PUCKLEBERRY?!)!

WHO COULD IT BE?!

Or maybe the BETTER question is…
